I posted a question earlier about less crowded viewing areas in the park during the fireworks, and it was suggested we try down by Small World (thanks to those that replied). My 2YO DGD absolutely :lovestruc loves:lovestruc Tinkerbell and just wondering if we will be able to see her fly from there?? TIA

Standing in front of IASW, Tink will go almost right over your head . . . I've experienced this twice (in 2005, with Remember which is still running). You'll never get to see her any closer in flight. She comes pretty close, but then she's gone again. It's a short-lived moment - just a caution. Not the best place to view her full flight.

I honestly don't see how it is possible for Tink to be right over your head while standing directly in front of IASW. She takes off from the side of the Matterhorn, and flies over the Castle and lands in a spot between Fantasyland and Thunder Mountain BBQ area. Anyone who knows the layout of DL knows that IASW is not on Tink's flight path.

I've viewed the fireworks from in front of IASW, and Tinkerbell was directly behind us, and we could only see her if we craned our necks.

However, I have seen Tink fly directly over me when I was watching from the Storybook Canal boats, which if you are lucky enough to be in one at the time the fireworks are set off, you stop mid-canal and watch the whole show. Now THAT was magical!

Agreed. We watched from IASW and barely saw a blob go by, and then when we watched from behind trees towards the entrance of Frontierland in May, she was *right there* totally recognizable as Tink.

As for watching near IASW, if your trip is before IASW opens again, do they even have viewing there right now?

I like to watch standing next to Dumbo, and there is a cement bench area there too so you can sit and watch the fireworks. Tinkerbell is so close and clear there. We could see her complete flight, and you can see how she really isn't all that close to the fireworks, it just looks that way when you watch from the hub. It's not the best place to see all of the effects, but I don't really care anymore since I've seen the fireworks numerous times, and I find Tinkerbell's flying much more interesting than the effects at this point.

I was there last week. To my delight there were fireworks even though the DL calender didnt show it. Well we stood at the end of Main Street. Was awesome as you got the whole effect of the music, light show & then there was Tinkerbell flying across the sky!!! :yay: I was so excited as I have been there many many times over the years & hadnt seen her for along time. Not only did we see her but we saw her close & vibrant. I was very excited & in total ah! Was another magical moment in the happiest place on earth! Thats another reason I LOVE DISNEYLAND!!!pixiedust:

You won't be able to see her from outside the park, Jade. Sorry. She flies at two different times, about 2 minutes in she sprinkles the castle with pixie dust to "enchant" it., and then close to the end she flies over again.

I can't believe it, but we leave tomorrow:yay: :yay: Thanks everyone for your responses, you've all been a big help........

We got a good view of Tink by standing near the Carrousel. We got moved a bit by CMs setting up some barricades, and we ended up towards Dumbo, and were a little crowded. When it was time for Tink to appear, some CMs shouted "look at the Matterhorn!!" and she flew overhead.
