Will TS restaurants give separate checks?

As simple as the question is in the title of this thread...will a TS restaurant give separate checks to a larger party? Or only one check per table?

When we were 11 and had ts at Hollywood and Vine and Chef Mickeys we had one check ......I wish we had been able to do the one check per grouping....they did do the automatic gratuity because of the size of the party....we tried to do it with cash but ended up having one person pay with CC and the rest of us paid the one party back......

I made out ADR's as a party of 7, but that includes 2 families, with 2 seperate dining plans. I assume they will break it up to charge each family for their credits. Wonder if they will still add tip to both?

I am wondering as well....DD19 will be joining us for 2 nights this trip and will notbe on the dining plan with us. Hoping they can just use our dining credits and we'll pay OOP for DD's meal.

There were 16 of us on our last trip (4 families) and when we at TS we were told it had to be one bill. We just used the check which identified each meal by seat number to determine what each family owed.

They can and will give you separate checks if requested - and if you're on different dining plans, they HAVE to give you separate checks to keep the credits coming off the correct room cards. They can even go back & break them up (we had that happen when dining with DD & her friend -- the waitress didn't realize we were in separate rooms with separate dining plan cards...so she had to take the ticket back, cancel the first one & ring up again as separate checks. Didn't even take that long to get it done.) But if you tell the server immediately when you first order, they'll get it right from the start. Same if some of you will be paying cash & some on a dining plan or charging to your room -- they will ring that all up separately if requested.

You will still all be charged the auto gratuity on a large party...even if the party of 7 has seven different checks...each check will show the auto 18%.

If you ask at the start they will split checks with no problem.

If you have six or more people they will automatically include the (prorated) 18% gratuity on each check even if there are fewer than six people on the check.

If you have two or more families on DDP with separate room reservations it is much easier for them to split the check.

And if you are not on DDP but have the Tables in Wonderland discount card they will only apply the discount to one check per card.

They gave us separate checks last March. There were 6 of us but two families. It was never a problem at any TS resturant.

Thanks everyone! DH, myself and our sons will be on the DDP but may be paying OOP for something with the family depending on what we all decide to do together (we tend to pay OOP for TS breakfasts, so this would apply if we do one of those together). I figured they would still add the gratuity since we are over 5 people, but that was never an issue (we normally tip 20% anyway unless service is not good). Thanks again for the tips!

One time at Sci-Fi our waiter offered to split the check before even taking our drink orders.
