Will this work? - accidental split stay

Please help me figure out if this is going to work or do I need to make other plans.

Original trip has arriving on 11/7 at Pop.

Do to lack of flights, we will now arrive at 9:45 and stay for one night at Coronado Sp on 11/6 and then move to Pop.

What I would like to do is put our Pop ME tags on our bags and have them go directly to Pop on 11/7. We will use carry on for the first night/next morning. I want to head to the parks early on 11/7 and worry about dragging our bags to bell services.

The CM who answered the phone at ME said that my bags will find me at Corronado Sp. I don't see how since I m traveling on two different reservation numbers.

As long as you have a resort reservation for your arrival day, you can use DME. However your bags will be delivered to the first resort you are booked at. The computer knows what resort rservations you hold. So they will go to CSR, arriving around 3 hours after you check in. Since this will be very late, you can ask Luggage Services to hold them when you arrive. In the morning, when you check out of CSR, go to Luggage Services and ask them to transfer the bags to Pop. They will be at the new resort sometime in the afternoon.

Assuming you are arriving at 9:45 PM, chances are they won't accept your luggage anyway that night. Anything after 10PM, you need to collect your bags and bring them to DME yourself. So if your flight is a little late, then you would need to grab it yourself anyways. (See here -> https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/faq/airport-transportation-and-check-in/luggage-delivery/) I'd just plan on grabbing it, take it on DME yourself, and then just leave it with bell/luggage services when you arrive and ask them to transfer it to POP the following day.

Using your POP DME tags may cause issues as they won't transfer luggage without a corresponding guest having checked in to use the coach, and you would need to use your CS reservation to get to the hotel, not your POP. So the luggage may kinda float around in no mans land for a while until it gets straightened out, I wouldn't chance it.

Thanks. that is what I am worried about...luggage floating around with no home. I think my plan would have worked if out arrival was after 10 pm since DME wouldn't find it until morning.

We fly stand by and there was a trip where our bags made it a day before we arrived and ended up being put in our room even though we had not checked in yet.
