Will this trip ever get off the ground? - Jan 2012 PTR - TOMORROW - 1/5!!!

As if I need any more stress, g who lives in FL told me today that he might only be able to join us for part of the trip, which throws a huge wrench in the plans because we were counting on him to drive so we could pick up b on Saturday and drop both b and myself off on the following Saturday night.

After some convincing, I showed him it was possible. He's going to get the FL seasonal pass with the montly payment plan cause he can afford the $17 a month and inital deposit easier than $200+ dollars this week. Since the two of us have hoppers now, maybe b will get hoppers to, but she doesn't have any tickets yet, not a big deal. Told him only two meals for the week will be close to $40 a person, everything else will be way cheaper or made at home.

So he is back on board, but this is not the sort of stress I need two days before I head out!

Oh my...these people just can't make up their minds. I hope it all works out. Just keep thinking..."I am almost there."

Can you believe the CP breakfast is $10 less a person than Akershus? I mean I know you get a photo, but its one package for up to four people which means your family would pay an extra $40 in December to get that photo package, where as when I go with my cousin it will only cost us $20 cause there is only the two of us.

I looked at all the prices for the buffets and it is funny how some cost more than others. Last spring when 5 of us went to Akershus, we got two photos. I wonder if there is a cost reason for it. Like you said... essentially in December we would be paying like $40 to have that pic...but when we had 5 of us we paid $50...so maybe it if it goes over 4 people you get a second "sitting"? Course, didn't really matter since last year we used dp credits. This year.. I think this is one that we plan to pay oop.

Add to that that b told me today that she was kinda depending on me to do all the planning.

See, they need to appreciate you. All the planning you have done for this trip (not to mention the worry and stress)[

Two days from now I'll be on the plane 47 minutes away from landing and taking a deep breath of relief.

After last night here are the plans for October: (after the last couple days I'm sure you can understand why the title of this PTR is that, December and January have no issues at all since I'm either planning all of it or co-planning with someone who Disney as much as we do)

Friday: I fly down. g might come down tonight and stay in my room

Saturday: If g doesn't come down last night, he'll be down today. Get him settled with FL pass. I get my AP. I ordered b's ticket through UT with local pickup. So g and I will pick up her ticket (she's paying me back). Grocery store, check in to Bonnet Creek, settle in, prepare dinner, go pick up b, eat dinner

Sunday: 8:05am breakfast at CP (this is one of the days I had booked and just never let it go, I couldn't) MK in the morning. EP afternoon (b agreed to pay extra for the hopper and UT had either 4 days or 6, so I went with 6)

Monday: AK in the morning, EP afternoon

Tuesday: MK in the morning, HS afternoon or HS morning (until about 5pm) then MK for MNNSHP

Wednesday: Either HS or AK morning, MK in afternoon for MSEP and Wishes

Thursday: Either MK in morning, EP afternoon or Day off until MNNSHP

Friday: MK in the morning EP afternoon

Saturday: Either no park or AK. We fly out within 40 minutes of eachother so g can drop us off at the same time.

Besides CP, I got resturant.com certificates for us to use at Giordano's (sp?) and the Original Outback Restaurant (in one of those hotels across the street from DTD)

So how do the new plans look?

Plans look great! I am so glad that B agreed to pay for the PH upgrade. I know this will make your plans go more smoothly.

I just read about your year of crazy in about 20 minutes...glad that it looks like it's pretty much finally ironed out, 24 hrs in advance!
Way back yonder when you were talking about RCI I thought it was funny because we actually just got back from both HH and VB. If you were EVER to go south without actually going to WDW, we could tell you all about it!

Phew! Another vote that my plans don't look crazy! I'm figuring in breaks at the condo for lunch and pool time for most days so I don't go super commando. Plus they do have shuttles in the worse case scenerio where I'm the only one who wants to go.

Well if I was going to buy the AP I needed to get some use out of it. I'm scheming a trip for my birthday (around the time of your anniversary) or near there. And maybe Labor Day or Columbus Day to finish up the pass.

Hey Ben! Welcome to the craziness! I really hope your friends are nothing like the group I got together! This drama was no fun and has not stopped 12 hours before my flight. I have to call Disney and add g to the room and make it so he can check in. I can't wait to read your TR! I'm sure its going to be A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!
