we have a large group going in sept and trying to make everyone happy with what parks on what days. Was thinking about getting 1 day park hopping ticket for monday. HS in the morning then hop to epcot for deluxe extra hours, tues mnsshp at MK, then get the 3 days parks ticket deal for weds, thurs, friday. will this work? not sure if you can buy different ticket types for the same week. thanks

Yes, you can buy separate ticket types and use them on different days. However, to make sure the right ticket is used, you should go to Guest Relations outside the park before you enter DHS on the Monday and ask them to prioritize the tickets to use the hopper that day. Then after you enter DHS, check everyone’s MDE to be sure the right ticket was in fact used. If not, visit GR inside the park to have it fixed that day.

It looks like the OP is buying a special 3-day ticket that does not include the MK. It's $267.00 for 3 days which would save them about $100 over the 4 days.

We've used different tickets on several trips without issue. We are also heading down with a large group in September. We leave on the 7th.

Make sure your tickets are prioritized correctly. I was just there from June 26th-July 10th. We had 6 day special event park hoppers that required park reservations from our first week that were good for 45 days and bought the 4 day 4 park tickets starting on July 3rd for the 2nd week.

We used 5 days of our hopper passes that first week. We switched hotels and moved off site on July 3rd and only planned on doing AK that day so we used 1 day of the 4 park ticket and saved the last day of the hopper. On July 5th, we made a reservation for AK to finish what we missed on our previous day there and planned on hopping to DHS and MK afterwards.

Scanned into AK with no issue. Double checked the app and it said that it used the last day on the hopper passes. Went to DHS around lunchtime and then MK at dinner. Used day 2 and 3 of the 4 park pass at EP and MK. Went to use the last day at DHS and couldn't get in. The CM working the gate had me open the app on my phone and it said I had no available days left on my tickets.

We went to guest services and they were able to look at the scan in information and said the tickets weren't prioritized correctly so it used the park hopper and 4 day pass on the same day. The 4 park pass had priority but since we already used the AK day on it and had the park reservation for the hopper, it used the last day of the hopper to enter there. When we hopped to DHS, it used a day off of the 4 park pass since that had priority and then when we hopped to MK it couldn't use another day off the 4 park pass so it scanned the hopper.

The guest services CM was able to fix it fairly quickly and just issued us 1 day 1 park tickets to use that day. We got there right at park opening and waited in line to scan in before having to go to guest services and then had to wait again to scan in with the new tickets. The whole process cost us about 35 minutes. Wasn't a big deal for us because we had already been there 2 and a half days already and did everything we wanted to do before that last day but if you have a limited amount of time, you don't want to be wasting it dealing with that.

BTW I don't think prioritizing is needed in this situation.
You'd be buying a 1 day date based ticket, a MNSSHP ticket which is also date based, plus the 3 day ticket which is also date based.

Maybe not, but I’ve read more than one report of the wrong ticket being used that I personally would spend the time at GR. It seems that sometimes the system doesn’t think logically!

Looks like a good plan to me.

One note about Epcot Extended Evening Hours -- although we had fun, we thought this was not nearly as beneficial as the EEH at MK. That is because the headliner attractions are so far apart, we felt as if we spent a lot of the extra time just walking between them. And at least the night we went, a few of them held onto longer wait times well into the extra hours. But if you are going to arrive at Epcot by early evening, you should be able to do a lot.

I like the idea of only doing MNSSHP the next day. Sleep in, enjoy your deluxe resort, then go to MK at 4.

Thank you all for the replys. We thought about getting the 4 day park hoppers so we could do animal kindom on wednesday, leave at 6pm head to magic kingdom for deluxe hours. The difference between the 4 day hopper and the 3 day deal plus 1 day hopper is about $165 so that would cover the party ticket. Wish the 4 day park ticket deal wasnt 1 day at each park, would make things easier.
