We plan to visit MK on December 11. When the park starts getting busy with MVMCP ticket holders we will hop to Epcot to do a few rides and watch Luminous. We are staying offsite this trip so will be parking that morning at MK and thought we’d take the monorail to Epcot and then back to MK (TTC) at the end of Luminous. I’m assuming since MK is open until midnight for the party that night that we won’t have any issues with getting back to the TTC that night on the monorail, correct? Also, if we left as soon as Luminous was over would we be back to TTC in time to see some of the party fireworks from there before heading to our car? Thanks!

Thanks guys, I kind of figured we wouldn’t have time to get back to see the party fireworks, wishful thinking I guess. No worries though, we’ll just take our time wandering out of Epcot. Our favourite thing is parks after dark, so we’ll get that and not be fighting crowds, win win👍🏻👍🏻

Pick one or the other in this case. Showtimes for both fireworks are within 30 minutes of each other.

If you want to see the MK fireworks from afar, you can see them from the Italy Isola area in WS (the part of the Italy pavilion by the lagoon). If that area is open for regular guests (they sometimes use it for events), it is an excellent viewing area for Luminous and, if you are able to hang out after Luminous is over, you should be able to see the higher MK fireworks once those start at 10 pm. Not the same as being closer at TTC, but it's something!

Luminous is definitely our priority, just was thinking it’d be a bonus if we could catch some of the MK ones as well but we’re perfectly ok with that not working out.

Interesting, didn’t realize that was possible, thanks for the suggestion!

You may be using the monorail because you want to ride, but if you pay for parking at the MK, that will allow you to park at Epcot, too. That way you wouldn't have to make your way back to the TTC after Epcot closes.
