What are the chances this opens to US???:confused3:confused3

I doubt it - but thanks so much for pointing out the first ever 'double dip' that I've seen.

Typically they make pretty crazy offers for the UK folks because they tend to make 14 and 21 day vacations out of a trip to North America.

And that's also why Disney offers 21 day tickets for them.. which are not offered in the US.

Disney makes more $$$ per visit off UK guests than it typically does from North American Guests.

WOW!
Today for the first time I saw that fla resident tix deal, 4 days of tix for 4 parks @99. GEEZ, would have liked that too!!

are these open to othre countries? We have friends coming from south america during that timeframe that could use those promotions...

PS - on Dec 2008, I got 20% and FD via a DVR promo which worked right thru xmas.

Typically no... these are UK only deals and a UK passport or some form of ID is typically required at check-in. They are targeted geographic deals to get folks to come and spend all of their long vacation period at Disney.

Again - they do that because Disney has determined these guests are 'damn the torpedoes' when it comes to spending once they arrive... Very profitable for the mouse.

And yes, there have been scattered instances like you describe.. but not in terms of publicly available offers.

I feel the need to state once again - unless Disney explicitly states such - all other offers cannot be combined. :)

Most likely not... they know we're coming no matter what they charge us so it doesn't matter if we get the good discounts. You would think that like the FL discounts, the supporting country would get the good deals.

I saw this once and out of curosity went to the UK site to price out the vacation. Value resorts are not eligible and moderates only get the quick service. You have to do deluxe to get the dining plan. You also have to get the premium ticket (park hoppers). We usually don't park hop. So, this deal would actually cost us more (2a, 2c) than what we have currently booked.

Once again, everyone is different, but just thought I would point out that sometimes what seems like a good deal may not be to some.

It's a pretty unbeatable deal.

We have booked for September 2 adults and an infant (free)

10 days Saratoga Springs
14 day Ultimate Tickets (Hoppers etc)
Deluxe Dining Plan

£1400 or approx $2000

$100 per night per person for food, accomodation and tickets. :cheer2:

With 2 kids it would only be about another $500.

Wow! That is a great deal. I read a couple of years ago that there was a free dining bounceback that could be combined with a room discount, but if IIRC it was only for SSR and OKW. So I guess anything's possible -- here's hoping:goodvibes.

Its actually a triple dip. When you go to book it, you can get a 14 day park hooper plus water parks fo the price of a 7 day.

I have an Email in to Disney now about equal opportunities! I got a reply back saying they received my Email and will be responding in 14-21 days.:rolleyes1

Yeah.. it's a triple dip. What does that tell us? Bookings from the UK are WAY, WAY WAY down from where they should be.

I am NOT trying to get around the rules or anything but I have a friend who is marrying a british citizen this spring. They are currently living in the United States and will continue to do so after the wedding. Is this something that he could take advantage of?

I live in the UK and just booked this deal last night. I would guess that if your billing address isn't in the UK it won't let you book.

I've never been asked for a passport when checking in when I've booked a deal in the past, which is probably a good thing as I've only got an American one!

Bookings are most definitely down - as an example, Virgin has 2 flights a day from London (Gatwick) to MCO, I flew last May (as in previous years Mays) and both flights were full, this year (same flight) as of a couple of weeks ago both flights were half empty, one has now been merged and the loads combined, the plane is still not full. A number of flights have been cancelled from February throughout the year.
