Will this FP Strategy work?

We will be in MK on 8/18, Tuesday, park hours are 9-midnight. 2 adults, & 2 Kids - a 2.5 yo and a 9 month-old.

My strategy so far is to get there for RD, with our first stop at Town Square to meet Mickey then ride what we can for the first hour and hoping to get FP for Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, and Little Mermaid at 10, 11, & 12 . Lunch is at 12:45 at CP followed by parades and whichever FP we can get from the Kiosks.

We will only ride things my 2.5 yo can ride, and dont usually like to bother with Ride Swap so we wont be going on any of the "mountains", 7DMT, or Barnstormer. The only character MG will probably be the one at Storybook Circus.

We are morning people. The little one will nap wherever, whenever. the 2.5 yo is ok napping in the stroller but isn't napping every day anymore. If he naps we could probably pull a late night but if he doesnt he will hit a wall by late afternoon so thats why I chose FP early in the day versus later.

Am I making a mistake by choosing early FP? also, should we not waste time with the Mickey MG as the first ride - maybe save it for the end of the day?

Any comments and suggestions are welcomed!

I'm big into early morning FP, especially if you are morning people. Lines are short for the first hour, maybe two, but will be getting long by 11am, so you'll want that FP at 11am and 12pm. The earlier you use them, the earlier you can get additional FP at the kiosks. Using them in the morning also gives you the flexibility after lunch: stay in the park and use more FP, or back to hotel to nap, or pool, or nap in the park, etc.
