Will this day be crazy for HHN?

I'm thinking of going to Halloween Horror Nights on October 28 (Saturday). Will this night be crazy because it's so close to halloween? It'll be the only time I could go if I go at all. I'm thinking of just driving up from south Florida for this and staying the night and then driving home the next day. Maybe go to the pool during the day on Saturday at the hotel. It would be my boyfriend's first time ever and he gets stressed with crowds so I'm a little hesitant about doing this.

I'd expect that night to be very busy.
Saturday nights have been very busy so far - I did the first two and they were far busier than I had expected - I would suspect that night would be busier begin so close to Halloween

Do you think it would still be worth it to go? Or will it be so busy my boyfriend will never want to go back? We will have express passes if we do go.

I guess it depends on what you mean by "he gets stressed with crowds" - having express pass will greatly reduce the wait times - but it will still be crowded and there will be a short wait in line
I dont use express pass for HHN so I cant say how long - I am sure someone else can comment on that

IF the main issue is waiting in line you may want to consider a RIP tour - that basically gets you with a group of 10 people and you are bought by a tour guide right into each house with little no no wait.

Waiting in line won't be a problem, he waited two hours for me to meet the Seven Dwarfs. Just when it's wall to wall people when you're walking around I'm just concerned about that.

All the crowds will be in the lines. With an express pass you'll be good. It'll be busy but it's never really wall to wall people. Everything is spread out pretty good.

Definitely get EP if you do go. We wouldn’t do HHN without them. It gets busy!!

Even with the RIP tours, you still have to walk through crowds.

We’ve seen a strange variance this year with crowds.

First Saturday this year was quietest we have ever seen, but the Friday was mobbed according to folks that went (we missed opening night due to cancelled flight this year) the Sunday was truly mobbed especially Scare zones.

But our second weekend was wall to wall people especially in scare zones again..........so I do disagree with pp that crowds are always spread out. We found it extremely busy with people everywhere on certain nights this year as with previous years.

TM friends are suggesting crowds were delayed this year with hurricane happening so close to opening weekend. I would be concerned if he gets stressed with crowds as it will be a really busy night.

Sorry to sound so negative, but I’d hate someone to go and feel overwhelmed if they struggle with crowds.
