Will this be a problem regarding CRT?

I have ADR for 11 people for breakfast at CRT, however one of the families (family of three) will only be sure of going by the time the 45 day deadline arrives. If they decide not to go and I call to change the ADR form 11 to 8, will this be a problem. What I mean is will they tell me they don't have a table for 8, or will they change it and make a new ADR for a table for 3 available.

:confused3 :confused3 :confused3

I called to change a reservation from 4 down to 2 and the CM cancelled the first reservation and rebooked for 2. We were lucky that they still had times to choose from.

I doubt you’d have a problem. In fact, if it were me, I wouldn’t call back to reduce the reservation. I would arrive looking for the table for 11. If it turns out that you have only 8 in your party, the host would be only too happy to seat the smaller party.

My fear would be calling back to change the reservation and them losing it altogether!

Hope you have a great vacation and dining experience at CRT.

Madison :)

That was my initial plan, but I talk to a CM and he said that if a person did not show up and I did not reduce the number then I would be charged for that person.

you will be charged how about paying oop. then you don't need to worry about the 45 day limit

I don't know what you mean. :confused3 :confused3
I am not wooried about the 45 day limit. I am worried that if they cancel, I have to chaNGE there may not be a table for 8 available.

You have to put a credit card deposit down on each reservation, yes? If you show up with 8 instead of 11, your credit card will be charged for the remaining 3 people. I never do CRT but I think that's the rule.

In order to avoid that and get your deposit back on those 3 slots, you will have to cancel your existing reservation for 11 and rebook for 8. This could be a huge issue, depending upon what is available at the time in the computer as far as tables. The dining CMs have little control over creating new tables to fit you in, you know? It just depends on what is available.

Yes, I would expect it to be an issue and I would be worried, too, honestly. I think your only choice is to wait and see what happens. If they cancel and you call to find out if you can replace 11 with 8 and they say no, then you have to decide whether or not it's worth eating there on your reservation for 11 and just eating the extra deposit money or canceling the whole thing. I would hold onto that table for 11 until you decide for sure you can give it up altogether.

I think until that point at which they cancel on you, you really don't know what you're looking at.

Let's just hope they don't cancel!!! =)

I have a ressie for Cinderella Breakfast at MK and I had to pay for the entire thing up front. Is it different at other Princess breakfasts?

Is the breakfast on your credit card? If so, you may have a problem. You have to pay in full for CRT when it is booked, so if you show up with fewer people, you will still have paid for them. Does the part of your group that is indecisive know this? If not, I would be sure to tell them.

I would be afraid that the spot would be gone in the time it takes you to call, cancel your ressie, then make a new one.

You also have to pay upfront for the Princess Breakfast in Norway. We are doing both in October (if you listen close, you can here my credit card scream in agony!)

CRT has to be paid in full at the time of booking, and you have 48 hours to cancel your reservation. If you cancel within the allowed time you are refunded your money. So I suggest that you do make the ressie for 11 and cancel the 3 in advance if they are not needed. Plus, CRT books real fast, if you cancel that might give a family of 3 a chance to go. As for Princess Storybook. I booked it for our upcoming visit in July. And you do not have to pay up front for it. The do hold a credit card number, and if you don't cancel you will be charged a penalty. But you are not paying for it up front. Hope this helps. :teeth:

You don't pay in advance for the Norway breakfast (at least not as of last week). You only use your credit card to hold the reservation and if you don't cancel 48 hours in advance you get charged regardless of whether you show up or not.
