We will be staying at VWL and the moving to Poly will they move us?? Does it take long?

Yes they will move you that is one of the perks about staying onsite.
As for how long I couldn't say, I would think it would be dependent on how busy they are at the time of your move.

We have done this. Bell services came in the morning to gather our luggage and we told them where we were going. They said to have a good day and when we went to the new resort that afternoon our luggage would be there. We went to the parks and got to the resort around 3:00 pm to check in and rest before dinner. Bell services called around 4:00 pm to let us know that our luggage was there. They they brought it to our room. Great service.

Just make sure you have your name on all your bags. We did this 3 years ago, moving from Dixie to OKW and they lost 1 bag.

We tried this in reverse (Poly to VWL), and the bellman made no bones about how this would be a pain in the **** for both him, and us. He STRONGLY suggested we take the luggage over ourselves.
Perhaps our experience was unusual...

We stayed at Coronado Springs last summer and then moved over to Beach Club for the grand opening. They bellmen were great. They took the luggage and it all arrived safely at BCV a few hours later. I think the above-mentioned bellman from the Poly must have been having an un-magical day! What would you do if you had no car... carry it over yourself, on your back?

We've done this many times over the years and never have had a problem. Service is always swift, professional and cordial.

We're going to be moving from BCV to OKW. How do they handle moving/storing of cold items from the fridge/freezer?

What is standered tipping. I would think you would tip at both hotels. Will they leave your luggage in your new room if you are in the parks?

When we moved from BCV to BWV in June, we were told at BCV that we had to be there when they came to pick up our bags to go to storage. At BWV when we checked in we were told that we had to be in the room for the bell service to deliver. Since the room was not ready at that time, that meant we had to call bell services when we finally got into the room. Therefore, it seemed as though they structured it so they could get a tip at both ends. I didn't mind this since I would have tipped at both ends anyway.

On the other hand, there were items that we wanted refrigerated during the wait at both ends. When the items were brought to our room at BWV it was obvious that they had been unrefrigerated for some time. When I brought this to the attention of the bellman at BWV he said the instructions may not have been conveyed during the transfer. Moral: If you're transferring items that need to be refrigerted mark that clearly on the containers. I had asked the bellman on the BCV end if we should do that and said it wasn't necessary.

The good news is that the bellman said if anything was spoiled because it wasn't refrigerated to let the bell manager know and they would pay to have it replaced. Other than that the transfer went smoothly.

We are doing this for the first time in September. OKW to AKL; and I was also wondering about the tip. Do most of you tip the same amount as when you check in? I thought maybe I should tip more since the baggage will have to be transferred. But I wouldn't know if the bellman who picked up my luggage would be the same one who takes it to AKL. I don't want to appear cheap, but at the same time I don't want to over tip someone who is just going to take my luggage to the storage area.
