Will they move our bags?

So we are staying at CSR in December. We are driving down this year, if we stay at one of the All-Star resorts on arrival day would they transfer our bags from All-Star to CSR for us?

Yes they will. Don't expect them at CSR until 3-4PM.

They will, but with a car I would just take them on over myself.

Take them yourselves!!! I have yet to have my transferred bags delivered to me prior to 5pm!!! And many times, later than that. There's always an excuse. So, no more. I'll take a cab with my bags to the new resort.
If you have a car, it would be silly to have someone else move the bags. If you don't want to keep the bags in the car, just drive over to CSR early in the day, drop your bags at Luggage Assistance, get checked in and then head to a park!

I figured since we won't be back to the resort until after dinner that it wouldn't matter how long it took. I was thinking that the luggage move was a perk of staying on-site, otherwise we could find a cheapy hotel and do what you suggest and drive to CSR and leave the bags at luggage assistance. Hmm...things to think about.

I'm with you. I find it a perk and I let them do it. I don't want to schlep the bags to the car, rearrange and load it, etc. I'll let them do it, thank you very much. And if you have zero use for the bags till the that evening, even better. Why on earth would one load up the car, drive to the new resort, unload again, just to leave bags with bell services and get them delivered the same time, or later, than you would if you let Disney handle them from the start?

Plus we are a family of 4 driving a Prius C...packing that sucker is like playing tetris

You can have them delivered (although you will have to call once you arrive at the new resort and are in your room. The magical appearance of luggage in the rooms only happens with DME as they want tips otherwise.

Remember that the timing of the OP's day wasn't given in the first post.

But as for why, because it's done and you know it's done. And there's always the possibility that a room will be ready.

I don't like the feeling of luggage being in limbo. The only time I did it was when it was just me and DS and we were sick. I could barely pack let alone move things and get them into the car. It was a boon then. But I'd rather do it on my own and know where my stuff is!
