Will they move our bags??

We have an upcoming reservation for 7 nights club level at AKL. We decided to go the day before due to flight prices as leaving on a Wednesday was much cheaper than a Thursday, so I booked a 1 bedroom at AKL for 1 night.

The question is, will they move our bags or do we have to bring them downstairs and leave them with Bell Services. I am pretty sure there will be some transition time between check out and check in.

If you do not want to carry them down to bell services yourself, I'd call bell services and explain the situation and arrange to have them picked up. I doubt they will pick them up unless you are present in the room.

You can call bell services to come and get your bags to hold them till your next room is ready. Once you're in your new room call them and they will bring them up. Just remember to tell them you just need them to hold them till later in the day. It's basically the same as if you checked in really early morning and didn't want your bags all day till you room was ready .

Edit- like Chuck said you'll need to be in your room both times

Ah, I was wondering this too. I've read conflicting things on different threads and I got the impression we just left everything by the door and then they'd magically show up in our new room when we went for the key. They'd even put everything in the fridge for us. Silly me. I've never had to switch hotels before.
