Will they let my friend in?

A large group of my friends already purchased our Disneyland park hopper tickets a few weeks ago, and our starting park is Disneyland. However, another friend wants to join us, but the tickets for Disneyland being the starter park are sold out. If we bought the friend the park hopper ticket with California Adventure as the starting park, do you think they'd let them into Disneyland with the rest of us?? I know it's unlikely due to the COVID-19 rules and regulations, but since there's already a lot of us going to Disneyland already and then there's the one friend, would it be possible?

I'd personally guess it's highly unlikely. However, people do cancel reservations, so if your friend is vigilant and keeps checking for DL as the starter park, they might still be able to get it.

I’d guess the chances are basically zero. As above, keep checking reservation availability for your friend. You could change your starting park to DCA and try hopping to DL as a group once that is allowed at 1pm but you may not want to do that. Reports do suggest that many are leaving Disneyland mid/late afternoon though due to there been no parades or nighttime spectaculars so it may work out well to start at DCA but that’s just speculation.

I doubt it. Your best best is to keep checking the site. The date my friends were going was sold out, but it opened up briefly and I grabbed a ticket. Best of luck!

It didn't work for me when I tried to add my daughter, so I agree with the others and the advice they've given. Good luck!

Although your friend should just keep checking frequently, depending on when your group is going, know that there usually seems to be a drop of new calendar availability especially on Tuesdays.
