i am thinkig of my next trip to disney(yes im hooked!-lmao) and i will have a slight issue. this time we went and had 2 adjoining rooms. worked great!! one was handicap as i am wheelchair bound. the other was a reg. room. this next time however i will not have a econd adult. just 5 children and myself... would the resorts allow children in a room with no adult? i will be the only adult. my children are VERY mature and im not concerned/worried,but the resorts might legally have an issue. whould i bother trying ?
hope i didnt make this too confusing

I think you would be required to book a suite/villa 2 bedroom or maybe the cabins..in otherwords, you must have an adult in each single room ressie unless maybe one of your oldest kids is old enough to qualify

I think in this case what they would do is guarantee connecting rooms.

in your situation when you make the reservation for 2 rooms - tell them only ONE adult.

then you are guaranteed connecting rooms. Also since you have health problem - that room is also guaranteed.

make sure who you talked to understand your needs. So they will put medical reasons on everything.

in your situation I won't go to the automatic system I would call someone.

Last August, we had 2 connecting rooms with 1 adult, and five kids (3,5,8,10,14). When we made our reservation, they put our 14 year old as an adult for the second room. It was no problem.

Disney does not require an adult in each room. Think about it, they have tons of youth groups come with 4 kids to a room, and only 1 adult per 10 kids. (Magic Music Days, Pop Warner, Cheerleading/Dance Team Competitions, Baseball Teams, Soccer Team, etc., etc.)

I would imagine though in the case of private families they prefer that the total number does not exceed the capacity of two connecting rooms. In other words, 7 kids, 1 adult.
