We havent quite decided if we are going to go in December, so are waiting til around May before we attempt to book AKLV, what are the chances that they will still have the availablity for a savannah view room?

If not, will SS have space?

I can't tell. If it is not the first week of December, or too close to Christmas, probably so. Even more likely for SSR because they have so many rooms.

First week of December is popular for DVC.

I'm planning to book in May (at 7 months) for an AKV value studio for December 13. I think there may still be some available.

I have had to waitlist for 4 nights in the first 11 of December and know of others in the same position, it will not be easy for the first week or so as in value season.

Claire ;)

Like Claire L, I am also on the waitlist for the beginning of December. I was able to book all but 1 night (12/7). On that night at least there is nothing currently available. I tried all views and all sizes. I am assuming that come the 7 month mark, something will open up. Also, I am hoping that Kidani starts opening up towards the end of the year.

I think that if they open up Kidani Village, then there might be availability later in the year. But that door will close very quickly, I think.

Thats my fears to be honest. I just dont know if we can book yet or if we can definately go. My husbands promotion and myself starting Uni.

If not I will have to go to SSR. I cant believe thier is a waiting list? Is this normal?? Also what are the chances of you getting your bookings?? I hope you do. If not I can book BCV or BWV do you think at a 7 month window in value season. Or am I kidding myself lol.

By the way the dates will be 7th Dec-21st Dec.

When will Kidani open up???

Ther are quite a few of us on a waiting list for dates starting on the 7th and giong foward about 10 days. Unless they open up Kidani or a lot of people book other resorts at the 7 month mark and cancel their ressies, there won't eb anything opening up.

If AKV is your home resort, why not book now and go on the waitlist as needed?

If you find out you can't go, you can always cancel. As long as you cancel at least 31 days prior to arrival, the points will be returned to your account without penalty. If you are within your banking deadline, you can even bank the returned points.

Add me to the people who are already on the waitlist for AKV- Dec 2 is the night I'm looking for a 1 bedroom. I'm hoping Kidani opens because I'd really like to try it for just the one night.
