Will there ever be a "Beastly Kingdom" at AK?

I love the idea of BK - the WDI could go wild in the landscaping and designing. You just know that it could be amazing.

I think an Australia would be nice too, but then again what about Europe? And why not have an Americas there too?
We've all got our native animals that are interesting.

Maybe in a few years they'll go ahead and expand AK.

I also wish they would add BK. I think it could be fantastic! Like some of the earlier posts stated, there have always been mythological creatures in Disney movies...what a great place to locate them!

If done right, it could be one area of the park to truly appeal to every member of the family. Something cute and tame for the younger ones, something interesting for the older ones, and something to excite the teens.

Currently, myself and DS (12) love the AK. We are both animal lovers and would be perfectly content to walk all day and just look at the animal displays. Other members of the family claim that it is their least favorite park and the biggest reason they give is that there seems to be "less to do" here than at the other parks. They also claim it is because the AK is hotter than all the other parks. So I say, bring on more water rides/playgrounds in order to help keep people cool.

I hope some day they'll go ahead with it. Disney is a place where dreams come true, so why not?

That went completely AROUND the tree of life about 2 months after AK opened. In fact, I have a Burger King cup some where that has the ride pictured ON IT! However, the next year, the ride was "poof" gone! :confused3 :guilty: This is the ride that had the Dragon coming out of the rocks. I recently asked a CM at AK about this ride, and they had NO idea what I was talking about. :confused3 So, I guess when they scrapped the BK plan, they scrapped this ride too. :guilty: Now, the boats are used by the characters.

Disney is all about fairy tales and fantasy. A Beastly Kingdom would be a perfect addition to AK.

AK is almost tied for my favorite park (very close to MK). I would LOVE to see Beastly Kingdom added. What fun! A unicorn ride and a some sort of dragon? WOW! I think it would be great! :thumbsup2

We visited AK for the first time in April. When we walked in I saw the gates for the boat ride and wondered what that was. Now that I read thru this thread I see what it original was meant for. Bummer!

I would love to see a Beastly Kingdom. I've posted in other places that just changing Beastly Kingdom to Narnia makes a lot of sense. Disney loves to promote itself and the movies contain most of the mythical creature we're talking about.

I also think something Narnia is on the horizon.
In this article written April 7th 2006 Iger hinted:

"Iger hinted that the 2005 live-action film "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" could be the next successful film product to translate into a theme park product. The second "Narnia" film, based on a series of books by C.S. Lewis, is in pre-production.

"One of the things we do when we create a Disney film is we create a franchise," Iger said."

Beastly Kingdom sounds good to me. I'm cracking up that people don't want mythological creatures like dragons and unicorns and saying it doesn't fit in with Disney. That's right, Disney is founded in reality, what with flying elephants, fairies, mermaids, flying carpets and cups and saucers that dance.
:rotfl2:
On the Dinoland side, I agree they could have done much more and it probably did revolve around money, but I do get the wink to Route 66 and Dinosaur Americana.
