Will there be confusion if I load Credt Card onto my key card with DDP

It only takes the CM to push a incorrect button instead of the ddp credit button and poof! your card has been charged. So when we use the DDP we refuse charing priviledges. Just our experience.

Same here! My CC was charged for what should have been DDP meals twice in Sept '05. If using DDP we no longer leave a CC on file.

We had charging priviledges on our cards with Free Dining Plan in September and had no trouble whatsoever. We always reminded our server/cashier that we were on the Dining Plan, and checked all receipts before leaving. No problems.

I'm also a firm believer in using the room key for charging as a previous poster stated. Your room key can be canceled and replaced IMMEDIATELY, whereas cash is lost forever and a credit card and travelers checks takes a minimum of 24 hours to replace.

For those that don't want to put charging priveledges on just one card and dining on the other, that's not how it works. Dining is on ALL cards regardless if you have charging priveledges. If you split up anyone can use the dining plan, but only the card with charging priveledges can charge to the room, so if split up, the person with charging priveledges will just have to double check that dining credits were used instead of room charge.

Also, as a previous poster stated, I always have a room bill printed every few days to double check things. In over 30 stays over 10 years, I've only had to question 1 item on my room bill, and that was this last trip. There was a charge to my credit card a few days after I checked out that was not on my folio. I called and checked and it turned out it was the extra adult fee for my campsite. (I added the adult at check in). However, the extra adult was only there for part of my stay. I told them this, and they happily credited me the difference, no questions asked.

I did this on my last trip and had no problem I liked charging the room key then having to worry about cash and losing it. I plan on doing the same thing for my next trip.

Well, my decision is to go with bringing Travelers Checks as I had originally planned.
We are leaving tomorrow! Yay. This time tomorrow we should just be pulling into our Resort

Thanks for this thread! We'll going in a few weeks on the DDP. I really like being able to use the room key for charges, but I will make sure that all the adults in our group know that we should be reminding servers to use the DDP, and that we should check the receipts immediately.
