I think I read somewhere that the S/D will actually guarantee connecting rooms, whereas the Disney resorts won't. Is this true?

I do not believe that is correct unless there are only two adults in the traveling party. In this case Disney does garentee connecting rooms as well. We have two rooms booked in June at the Swan as we are taking our nephew down as a HS Graduation gift and I put in a request for the two rooms to be at least near each other if not next to each other but it is only that.

Disney resorts don't guarantee connecting rooms, even in the most dire situations - i.e. one adult with more minors than are permitted in a single room. While they do their best to accommodate all such requests, having two adults with up to six children ages 3-17 plus two children under three, could be assigned to non-connecting rooms and have one adult stay in each room. Ideal? Nope? Necessary? Perhaps.

But, to answer the OP's question: Call the Swan or Dolphin directly, but I believe you're right - they would guarantee connecting rooms.

Hi Tiffany, we too are going to the Dolphin for our sons, Tyler and Kasey's, graduation. We let them choose between Hawaii, Jamaica, a cruise and Disney...they naturally chose Disney as they are just as bad as I am about the need to see the mouse at least once a year. Just thought that you would want to know, I am checking on this to find out exactly where to get them, but Disney has Mickey graduation caps. They are actually graduation caps with mouse ears. I thought they were cool, our sons will get a kick out of them.:rolleyes1 They know that we are always up to something. When we go to eat the first night that we are there, at the California Grill, the wait staff said that they could deliver them along with a cake that I ordered to the table.  I can't wait to see their faces :rotfl2:

The Swan DOES guarantee connecting rooms. I booked connecting rooms for last August and they definitely guaranteed it and put it in writing on my reservation.

Thanks for the idea we are having dinner at Il Mulino the first night. I have not thought of what do yet but I will keep this idea in mind.
