Planning a trip May 24th-31st, do you think the parks will be really crowded during this time? We will be staying onsite, so we will be able to take advantage of the extra magic hours...any info, tips, etc would be appreciated.
We traveled to Disney the 3rd week of May 2 years ago and found the crowds somewhat light. Probably not as light as winter time, but still doable. Also the weather in May is just fantastic, not too hot or too cold. Just go and have a good time.
I think that once you get past Memorial Day, the crowds will be very manageable. I think that it will be a wonderful time to be there.
As a matter of fact, our oldest just told us last night that she and her BF will be going there the same week as you. They were there the same time last year and they had a great time.
Late May is probably the best time during the "summer" season to go. I don't think the Florida schools get out until about the second week of June. We really enjoy going during this time of year as it's hot enough to really enjoy the water parks and pool, yet the summer crowds haven't yet hit full swing. The worst crowds will be at MK, but just use FP's if necessary.
We've also been the last week of August and the crowds seemed about the same level as late May/early June, but the weather seemed to be worse.
