I don't know how much of that is "nobody to host" and how much is "keep people away from the house of the guy who may contagious."
But I do get what you're saying - I don't know who would host if Pete suddenly decided to stop hosting. Craig does a good job on the Universal show, but I don't know how he'd do on the Disney World show because it's a different format. Teresa did okay with The Trip, but that was also with JL and a different format.
I'm sure that if Pete and John want the show to continue even after they retire to Aulani (I assume that's what they plan to eventually do), they'll find a way to make it work, whether that means finding a host from outside the company or grooming someone from within to take over the podcast. Hopefully that day won't come too soon, though.

I think you'll find that is because the studio is at Pete's house and he doesn't want to spread his germs, he quarantines the house/studio when he's sick, not just when Kevin and John are away

Exactly. This isnt the first time Pete's cancelled to quarantine. And the shows had a number of fill-in hosts so...

This isn't anything worse than some things posted on here. This post feels valid. "Disunplugged" is a brand. I don't see the problem in someone asking if it would continue.

Wdwtoday changed hosts and continued but it's a different product now.

I wonder about this too. I think the team has tried to diversify over the years with different hosts and for whatever reason, they keep coming back to basically the original core members (John, Kevin, Pete, Corey and Julie). This could be because they see a dip in listenership when those core members are out for a longer period of time or it could be because Pete wants to have control over his product and is reluctant to let go of that. Not judging - just opining. Whatever the reason, I agree that if there were an abrupt departure of Pete or John or Kevin that the show might not make it. But if the right people were transitioned in the show could continue and thrive. No one knows the future...

Sorry, I share my mind with Doug. Point is we are all bored and need an outlet. TheDis provides that outlet for those of us with the Disney Gene (named for the famed scientist Dr. Gene Grey). We mutants that carry that gene have a passion for talking about any random thing that is even slightly Disney related.

For example, we have all suffered through family home videos of some place blah blah with churches and had to fight off the urge to sleep. Us mutants actually search for videos just to get our Disney fix,

If the founders no longer wanted to do the show, someone would pick it up, and I'm pretty sure the money spent on equipment to run the show Pete would love to recoup by selling the equipment. Now if Pete just kicked the bucket, they (Dreams) does have the DIS Welcome Center where they could move the equipment and create the Pete Studio, and then there would be room for an audience. I'm sure Theresa would LOVE having the studio in her little world

I think you will literally taking Pete out in a box, before he gives up control of the Show / Disboards. That being said he has in the past trusted other team members with the own shows and gave Dustin the second half of the DW show so i suppose its not impossible.

Corey & Julie are original hosts of the show, too. And I think they will carry on DISUnplugged if ever Pete decides to fully retire, though I hope this doesn't happen anytime soon. Didn't Corey take over the responsibility of running DISboards/DISUnplugged years ago, or is that job still Pete's?

My first thought was Corey and Julie too.
