Will TarzansKat meet Captain Jack? ~A Pirate's Life for 3 Pre-Trippie~ We're back!

I'll totally drink for you (and 2SP - which sounds like Playstation's next gaming system, no?) as long as someone carries me back to the room.

Playstation's next gaming system indeed...hmpf:snooty: !!!! I have been described as a "game gal" in the past is that the same thing:rolleyes1 ;) :rotfl2: . Only joking I've always been a V good girl:angel: .....I promise:rotfl:

Do you know what you're agreeing to by offering to drink my share? Think about it babes, I'm SCOTTISH, drinking is an Olympic sport here and I'm a very patriotic lassie;) .

Jeez TK, life's getting a bit bleuch at the moment isn't it? I think giving an ulitmatum over something so serious is okay. It's not like you're using it as a weapon to get what you want, you're just being honest and letting your DH know the score. Good luck with the big "what direction is our family taking" talk:goodvibes , I think you'll find your DH will appreciate that your're being honest with him about your feelings.

Ok. Y'all are total yakkers (NOPukefest2008).

Seriously, I take a few days hiatus from the DIS and come back, like, 15 pages behind. I threw up in my mouth. Twice. (StillNOPukefest2008).
:rotfl2:
So, instead of taking up the next 68 pages quoting, all I'll say is this:

Yay Lapu Lapu Fabby Fest 2009!
Woo hoo!
I could probably make December work.
Double woo hoo!
I will totally fly out of your airport. I think I know which airport is yours. It's different from mine, right? But still Southwest friendly?
Triple woo hoo, and yup!
I totally vote Yo Ho! I don't care that it's inappropriate! LOL
Amazing how much woo hoo is like yo ho.
I promise not to embarrass y'all by yelling Yo Ho! I'll yell OHANA! instead.
Don't worry, after a couple of drinks, I'm sure we'll all be yelling yo ho instead.
If Lallie's havin' babies and TK's down and out after one drink, I'll totally drink for you (and 2SP - which sounds like Playstation's next gaming system, no?) as long as someone carries me back to the room.
I will happily carry your rum soakedness back to the room! As long as it's a nice room...perhaps a deluxe room?

My sista, my sista - I'm glad you went on the interview and I'm sorry it doesn't sound like a fit. But at least you know. You know?
Actually, one of my only girlfriends I have left, the one I went shopping with, but don't see for months at time, is the one who convinced me to go. She said, you'll never know. It could be the most wonderful place and you won't know. Or you could go and not like the manager, and then you'll know it's not for you. Boy was she right!

Also, you are cracking me up with your:
a.) shoe drama
b.) shopping-becomes-returning drama
c.) itinerizing your non-itinerary itinerary
I am so full of drama. Wait until you read my next chapter. Oy!

Tink is back.
Beware.

In black...and with a venegance?

Well, "You've got a friend in me." They had both Toy Story 1 and 2 on sale at Target this weekend and I really wanted to buy them! I love both of them. :goodvibes
You'll figure something out! :thumbsup2 My parents used to do the switch off and my brother and I had a babysitter for about 2 hours in the afternoon before my mom opened her daycare. My dad worked days and my mom worked 3-11 or something like that. Every family finds something that works for them. If you ever need to chat/vent you just let me know!
Thanks so much. We have now moved on to Toy Story 2.

I completely understand where you are comming from and you are right to make the demand. It is stress that you don't need when you are trying to care for 2 children.

Being a mom is a full time job TK. I see my friend who is a stay at home mom and it is a full time job. To have any job, full or part time, is like having a second job I would think... But that is just me...

Wow...thanks. Again, I'm always amazed when you agree with me, because sometimes I feel crazy and demanding and nuerotic. Then real live people agree with me! Unless you're all crazy and demanding and nuerotic...hmmm....;)

I agree. I think tonight we just need to sit and talk about it honestly and see where this family is going. Truthfully, even I don't know. We need to figure it out together.

Ok, I never said I would be:

a.) coherent
b.) open-eyed
c.) the owner of a healthy liver
d.) standing
or
e.) knowledgeable of where Scotland actually is

once I was done drinking your share. LOL

I truly wish you could join us. You're such a sweet soul.

And I love the new picture of Becci.

2SP, I thought of you last night while I was watching House Hunters International. It was about a family looking for a new home in Scotland and it just made me smile and think of you of course! :goodvibes I was mesmorized by their lovely accents! ::yes::

I'm going to be so sad when you're all Lapu Lapu Fabby-ing and I'm stuck back at home...maybe we could set up a computer link and I could get Virtually-drunk (or completely pished;) ) along with you gals during a trans Atlantic link. I will of course need the recipe for a Lapu Lapu and a pineapple for DH to hollow out and bring me my drink in.

Now I'm sure that would definately be a first:cool1:

Now that's an idea!! :lmao:
I will be expecting a picture after your trip. Preferably one with you and a Lapu Lapu. ;)

Aww LL you'r so sweet:love: . I hope they showed the beautiful places Scotland has to offer to show you God's Own Country:cloud9: in it's best light. It's so funny because we don't tend to think of a Scottish accent as being lovely:confused: ...more of a comedy turn a la Mike Myers:rotfl2:

Oh, yes. I require photographic evidence as well.

Change is good. Sometimes. We've had lots of thoughts of changes here the past few days, some good, some questionable.

One change, and Tink would argue, probalby one of the most important ones is...our footwear.

Yes, the TK family has ordered and returned more footwear than we care to count. Sadly, I have kept track of the various twists and turns my weary brain has taken in the quest for the perfect shoe for myself and DS.

And here we have...

DSCI01162-1.jpg

success!

The boy likes his Crocs. When they first arrived, he was distracted by other things, and I was worried. Did he even want to try them on? No.:scared1: But, after his bath, when he had regained some level of deciding to pay attention to his parents and their wishes, he tried them on. And loved them. I question their capability to be our all the time shoe, but for the pool and for play, I think they're great. And they're so cute. And so yellow. Who knew the boy's favorite color would be yellow? :)

So today, since they still have a 20% code, I went online again and ordered these puppies.

dsSandals.jpg

Yup. They're cute, eh? Typically we sport a Stride Rite wide sandal during the summer, and his current ones are too tight. They're a size nine and his toes are peeping out of the little holes the fisherman style makes. And when I took them off today, he had marks. So we seriously need some new gear here. I opted for a ten, since I think it'll be okay if his foot is a little short on the bed of the shoe, and if I'm lucky they'll last until Disney. If not, we'll figure it out then. Another chapter for the trip report, eh?

I returned a whole bunch of stuff today, and still need clothes for work and still don't know what I want. I think I am seized by an inability to decide on anything right now.

I don't know. I'm feeling a little...lost. Savvy?

I am also :furious:

When I initially booked our vacation, I planned it from a weekend to a weekend. Last year, DH's boss said it would be better for him to be gone from a Monday to Friday instead of a Wednesday to Tuesday, or whatever we did then. So I obliged. And booked a Sunday to a Sunday.

Do you all know how much more airfare costs on Sunday?

How I am kicking myself for trying to accomodate someone who still thinks we're not taking this vacation?

How frustrated I am that I cannot book anything else and that I bought nonrefundable tickets to MNSSHP?

Do I try to cut the vacation short? Do I say to heck with it...pirate...and pay the airfare? If I wait until July to see if they offer the special, it will be too late to try and re-book free dining, but still allow me enough time to :::gasp::: cancel completely.

I know.

Can you believe those words came out my mouth?

I'm just thinking about everything...maybe too much. Thinking about working vs staying home, thinking about how we can get health insurance, frustrated that I've discovered within myself I have no desire to take that full time job, but not thrilled at what I'm going back to.

That $2500+ I'm spending on vacation is starting to look frivolous.

And yet I can't imagine life without something to look forward to. DH works almost every weekend during the summer, usually at least two days, sometimes Fridays as well. We barely see him. As a matter of fact, he's working on Father's Day. We always went in September as our, yippee, summer is over, but we have one last hurrah. Then today in New England it's 98 degrees and I'm running errands thinking why am I going in September.

Oh, I'm a mess.

I big, big mess.

Who seriously wants to do this...:moped:

But where? Who can say. Perhaps my reluctance to buy new work clothes stems from a desire to make a change. Let's pyscho-analyze TK, shall we?

And help me! For the love of everything Jack Sparrow, help! Talk me out of cancelling.:faint:

For the love of God and all things Disney...DO NOT CANCEL GIRL!!!! This is a temporary blip, a little crisis of confidence that you will overcome. We all have them and we all work them out. Currently I am blythely planning a trip next June...now the tax people are causing me severe problems (they have made a mistake and after having this mistake pointed out to them at the beginning of Feb they still have not gotten back to me) but hey I'm still booking air tickets and planning my next step. Yes I agree I'm totally nuts but I know that we'll manage that trip one way or another...and let's face it we've never starved a winter yet:rotfl:

Everything has just come to a head now because you've made a big decision and you're not sure of the next step. Talk to your DH and I'm sure you'll see things clearer and come to the right decision for you all:goodvibes

Thanks for the support 2SP.

I'm sure we'll make it work somehow. I'm just exhausted of trying to figure things out, kwim?

And all this talk of gas prices going up and the economy and airfare has got me freaking out, and you know what? They said the exact same things last year, and Southwest still came through with a great rate.

Sometimes knowing too much is a bad thing...I think I liked TK better when she was blissfully ignorant.:(
