Will TarzansKat meet Captain Jack? ~A Pirate's Life for 3 Pre-Trippie~ We're back!

You all remember this list?

1. Thoroughly peruse the DIS Boards at my leisure, ignoring various household chores, while deeming it completely necessary to my family
2. Obsessively review my itinerary
3. Throw out my itinerary and start from scratch
4. Freak out, retrieve my itinerary from the trash and realize I was smart enough to have created a good one in the first place
5. Realize that other than making specified ADRs, there is no itinerary, just really a list of things we'd like to do/try
6. Work on debt owed to DH ;)
7. Watch various and sundry Disney films with my little peanut in an effort to contain my enthusiasm
8. Realize that number 7 totally backfires because as we're watching Snow White tonight and may I say, am I the only one who loves the scene where they're all dancing in the cottage...that song sticks in my head for days!...anyhoo, all I can think about as DS is laughing and, no joke, squealing with delight at this film is, he sooooo needs to meet Snow White on this trip
9. Acknowledge that we should hang the rules (itinerary) since they're more like guidelines anyway
10. Thoroughly review the kidnapping/escape plan as set down by Tink and TK for one ruggedly handsome, gorgeously dreadlocked, absolutely fabulous, rum-lovin' pirate

and one more...

Drink up me hearties, yo ho! :drinking1 pirate:

DH informed me, when I read it to him last night, that it needs to be amended.

The first priority should be

1. Work on debt owed to DH ;)

I was DED when he said that! I had to share it with you guys. :rotfl:

Yes. If we're going to review the three films, Jack Sparrow always has a plan, but is able to modify his plans at any given time to suit his own needs, while still keeping in mind his ultimate goals. You have to love a man who is so unbelievably capable that people totally underestimate him. One of the things I love about that pirate.

So, in true pirate form, we have a plan, our ADRs and the party, and we will be willing to modify anything else at any given time to suit our needs.

ARRRR!:rotfl2:

I should also add my DH will be so happy when I tell him this! He's a go with the flow guy, but having no plans will make him so happy.
DF is like that too when I start showing him "the plans" he gets a glassy eyed glazed over look. Poor Guy.
I hate to admit this..but I haven't seen the third movie yet. :scared1: It is next on my netflix queue. I love love Pirates but for some reason we never go to the theater to see the last one. This is a trend with us, we so excited about movie and then we it's released we poop out and don't go. Dang us. I will make it to "Sex and the City" May 30th though, even if I have to walk there in my broken sandals.

That's it! This weekend you must go out and buy it. Don't bother renting, it's a keeper!!!!! Say it with me...YES DRILL SARGEANT!

Oh, that is too funny. I am hoping to go see this one by myself. DH went out a few weekends ago (he never, ever does, so I was very happy for him) with some old college buddies and they saw Ironman.

Well you know he has been very obliging;)

Never a truer statement has been said. I really owe DH some props, as long as he gets a vacation, he could really care less where it is or what we do. As far as what hotel, again, he feels, it's just a room. But yet, when I want to switch, it is okay...perhaps underneath, secretly, DH loves the Wilderness Lodge just as much as I do! ;)

I talked to him the other day about finding all the Slushy Coke things for him. God bless him, he already knows where most of them are! :lmao:

I have the other two, I am sure I will buy the third but Lallie must tread lightly as she upgraded to WL, bought MNSSHP tickets and is about to purchase a new camera and poor DF has no flat screen tv. I will sneak it in there one day at Target. Whoops..how did that get in there??

DF is having is bachelor party on the night it comes out, so I have already made plans with my cubicle buddy to go see it. I can't wait!

This is just quoted for the truth. It is just that good.

Ah, I see, I see. DH did point out to me the other day when I was extolling the virtues of the Wilderness Lodge renovated room, one point being the flat screen TV, you know we could buy a flat screen TV and then some for what this vacation is costing us. To which I replied, HA HA! Puh-lease, man. Seriously, we have a huuuuuuuuge entertainment unit that holds our TV, every single Nintendo system ever created, our DVD player, our VCR, our video games, our DVDs, our old VHS tapes...you get the idea. Where am I going to put all that carp if we go flat screen? Don't even bother with suggestions, it's so not happening. ;) I actually like our TV, so until it dies, it's what we've got! :goodvibes

Sounds like a good time!

That is exactly what I tell DF, we have two perfectally good tvs and we don't need another one. Then he wants surround sound and the tv mounted on the wall, which I hate, it is NOT for my viewing pleasure. Ugh. I told the DF that he could get one, bah. Not until after we move though....so I am going to hold out to book our WDW Trip for next year and get him to agree to a Deluxe for the WHOLE time before I let him make his big purchase. You have to understand DF though, if I didn't reign him in, all we would have is gadgets and gizmos that he thought "cool". ugh. I much rather of vacation memories that last a lifetime! It's all about compromise.

Our party tickets came today! Woo hoo!

Now I really have to get crackin' and make a trip binder...I need somewhere to put this fun stuff! :rotfl:

Anyway, it was really cool to have some hard evidence of our trip in my hot little hands. We got one Incredibles, one Cinderella and Prince Charming, and one Mickey and Friends. Now we can all duke it over who will get which one...although, I believe the Incredibles is DS' since it seems to be the childs admission.:thumbsup2

Which I guess means that since I'm the girl, I'll be getting Cinderella. Too bad there weren't any pirate ones....:rolleyes1

I claimed Cinderella & Prince Charming. There should have been pirates, I thought it was sad they weren't halloween themed.

I think they're a very similar design to last years. Hey, while I have you here...figuratively speaking...have you looked at Artist Point at the WL? I'm wondering about this, since it's in our resort, and it's 2 TS. It means I'd have to ditch Brown Derby, but I am intrigued.

I have Artist Point booked on 8/31, our second night in the world, which is also a Pop Century night but I don't know if I want to change it to another night because...well that takes too much brain power right now. I read a really good review of it on Allears and it just seems nice. Brown Derby is on our list as well. I can't wait for this, have you been there before? I think you said you have...but I can't remember...again too much brain power.

Man, having read your pre-trip, you would have thinked I'd remember some of your reservations! :lmao: I've actually been to the Brown Derby, but never to Artist Point.

I debate it because I wonder if a lot of people take their kids, and I wonder if DS would be good for us. The Brown Derby is a known entity, we've done it many times with him so no worries there. :::sigh::: But, since we're actually staying at the Lodge, maybe it would be nice to eat there...and I have no ambition to try Whispering Canyon yet...get an off night with a three year old and that could be disaster! :scared1:

I am going before you so I can scope out the kid situation for you. If you have an open night for Artist Point make the ADR and if I hate it you don't have to go. :goodvibes :rotfl: I figure though, if DS does well at Brown Derby that he would be fine at Artist Point. That is pure speculation from me though.

I think so too. My main concern is tying up another evening. I know we're there for 8 days, but I specifically only booked two dinner ressies. Everything else is lunch or breakfast. On our last trip, I hated that I "had to" be somewhere for dinner. My favorite night was a very spontaneous counter service Epcot night, so I'd like that feeling for this trip too.:thumbsup2

I totally get that. I feel like I am "tied" to my ADR's which is way I am contemplating canceling a few of them. Ugh. It shouldn't be this complicated but that is where our OCD/DIS craziness comes in.
