Will summer 2005 affect Fall prices?

I was planning to book our Fall 2005 cruise while we are aboard the Fall 2004 cruise. Now I am worried that since many people who planned to cruise summer 2005 can't- due to CA, there will be a crowd of ressies for Fall and prices will go way up. Do you think this will happen?

Perhaps I should book soon. There is a good price listed at Allseas. Think I would do better than that by waiting to rebook on board?

Of course, I dont know what will happen, but I can tell you I fell into the group of people in your theory. We had really wanted a summer 2005 cruise, but gave up when the rumors were sounding true and we couldnt take the waiting any longer so we booked for 10/05. We never would have planned a 7 day cruise then had we been able to do it in the summer(our anniversary).

If the fact that prices continued to rise all day yesterday, and will probably continue to climb on those CA summer cruises, I would say that if you've found a good price and are sure you want to go then, book it. You'll have time to cancel if you find that the price hasn't changed (this is Disney, we can dream) when you are onboard to book.

Unless things change between now and then, you could book now then chek out the price when on board where you can get 10% discount and a stateroom credit. We did this for our upcoming cruise - booked with Dreams to be sure we could be aboard, then rebooked on board as the price was better and tarnsferred the second ressie to Dreams so we still got their discount. In fact Donna notified Dreams for us when we booked on board.

This way you are sure of getting what you want and if the price is better when you sail, you can take advantage of that.

KEH, Did you have to cancel the first reservation with Dreams and get a refund? Did you have to pay the deposit twice? How does that work? That sounds like the plan.

I need to finish getting my deposit together in the next couple weeks and JUST DO IT!

Hi there. Well we did pay a second deposit and then cancel the first ressie with Dreams (actually they were waiting for us to get in touch as DCL had told them about the new ressie). We got the fist deposit back pretty quickly, though I wish now that we had asked them to apply it to the cost of the cruise.

I'm not sure whether we did this the most efficient way or whether it would have been possible just to switch to existing ressie and get the discount and credit. I'm sure someone else on here will know this though.
