OK. Sort of simple. I am renting a BCV...and one of the adults on the reservation would prefer to get their own villa either at Riviera or Boardwalk. If I keep their name on MY reservation, can they still come over and use SAB? In other words, this person is hooked up in MDE (which I want to keep her their)..... but will have a reservation in her own name at a different resort. Has anyone ever experienced this??

There is an issue with magic bands for guests being at two places at once, but I have only done it for a single night with a split stay,

In order to check in to resort 2, they had to make sure we were checked out of resort one in order to get them to work.

Its not that I could not have the reservations, It was the issue of actually being able to be a guest of both.

Normally, it would not matter, but for SAB it does as you have to be listed as a guest. The trouble will come in for this person when they try to check in other than BCV...unless the front desk can just give them something else. It’s a tricky situation for sure.

I would misspell the name on your reservation to avoid causing issues with the new booking. This will be a "new" person with their own band.

You will have problems. Once that person checks in the other reservation will be cancelled. Be careful or you may end up with no place to stay.

The easiest way would be for you to put her on your reservation using just her initial (or a variation of her name) WITHOUT linking her MDE to yours. You would need to give her the associated Magic Band to access SAB (or buy an MB if reservation is next year).
Then, as long as her resort reservation is in her MDE, she use the MB linked to her MDE for all activities (other than SAB).

Just to add - you don't have to buy a MB if the reservation is in 2021. You (she) can get a plastic card from the checkin desk at BCV. As Disney is now saying that MB's are not required when staying at a hotel starting in 2021, there has to be a way to gain access with a valid hotel ID card (or possibly the MDE app, but she would probably need a separate profile to match her BCV reservation).
