Will SSR make VWL impossible to book without the 11 month advantage?

I look at it this way:
Some people find VWL too dark, but I find it is soothing and secluded.
Some people find BWV is too noisy, but I find it exciting.
Some people find OKW like a retirement home, but I find it charming.
Some people find SSR like an 800 unit hotel complex, but I KNOW I'm going to find it to be a chic, cosmopolitian city within a city!

I think you are making the BEST decision for you Dave. Good to see that people are working through the possibilities instead of buying and being unhappy with things.

Personally for me, unless hubby and I fall in love with another resort, we will do any add-ons at SSR (our home). If we decide we love any of the others and might want to go during peak times, that is what add-ons are for. Either way, as you pointed out, its going to be a great vacation at a wonderful spot (as long as WE make it so)!

I was told yesterdat by Randy (senior vacation club guide) that 2 new resorts have been designed and approved to be built when I asked the same question. (I'm not loving the theme of SSR) he wouldn't devulge the themes but told me DVC and DR would continue to grow.

This is the only statement is this ongoing discussion I agree with other than Dave's eloquent description of DVC resorts. We like all the DVC resorts equally for different reasons. There are not bad ones and no great ones either. All have their benefits and disadvantages.

I see absolute no valid information or statistics to prove the thinking that SSR is going to adversly affect booking at 7 months.

Regardless of what DISers do, that is just a small percentage of the total DVC population, that I can't even imagine how anyone can form an opinion one way or the other. And even if they do, it is opinion, and not fact.
