Will Spider-Man and MIB Hurt your Back and Neck?

This is our first time going to Universal, and I was wondering about the Spider-Man and MIB ride. I have slight arthritis in my back and neck. It is not horrible, but not great. I know I will not go on Hulk or Back to the Future. I just did not know about the first two. Do the jerk you around alot? Has anyone out there with slight back or neck troubles tried them out? Any responses would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much for your time! :)

I have never experienced any problem with either of these 2 rides and I have lower back issues. You are right to avoid Back to the Future as it is rough.

Thanks for your response. We just were at Disney last year and I did fine on several rides. However, I did realize that some just are too much for me anymore. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad was one of them sadly. I did not even attempt Space Mountain. I did o.k. on Star Tours, but once was enough. I did hear that Back to the Future is rougher, that is why I will not do that one. I assume the Mummy is out? Are the water rides rough? Thanks for any help. :)

I don't think that Popeyes is too bad and Dudley do-Right has been toned down to lessen "airtime" so I will try that one again at the end of May. When are you going? If it's after that time, I can let you know.

AFAIK, Spiderman only actually moves up and down about 12 inches. However, it feels like you're moving a darn site more than that!

Those two rides didnt bother my back or neck.

We are going the first week of July. :) My boys are so excited. They are 10 and 4. We are also going with my parents and nephews. It should be lots of fun!! My mom also has some arthritis, so I was was trying to figure out ahead of time what to avoid. I know from Disney, that alot of the rides have the back and neck signs for good reason, but if your problems are not real severe, you might be o.k. on them. I really appreciate all of your answers. If you have any more tips, please post. Thanks!!

I have serious back issues, and niether one of the rides hurt me. Back to the future was extremely rough, Do not attempt it.

I rode BTTF Saturday I think they have toned that down a little. I didn't get sick. One ride to watch for lower back is JPRA. At the beginning when you are climbing the first little hill the track slips and delivers quite a jar to your back.
