This begs the question...if you buy a lottery ticket and win the jackpot, do you have to split it with the person that you gave the code to as well?

I was under the impression that promo ended on 7/31. I was at Universal this past week & when I inquired about it for my daughter's boyfriend, that is what they told me. Have they extended it?

Also, the AP's only have to be PURCHASED by Sept. 4...you can activate them at any time. I called the passholders line and verified this before I purchased DH one.

I was buying a preferred AP for me, to get hotel discounts, and it seemed stupid to buy DH a 2 day/3 free pass for $99 when I could get him an AP for the same rate.

I'm so glad I checked into this. Expedia had the "buy one get one free" 2 day/2 park ticket with the purchase of a room. And I started to book that. But I ended up spending less on a PAP, a regular AP, and two nights at RPR (with AP discount) than if I had done it through Expedia.

It looks like we are getting conflicting answers on the Sept. 4 activation. I e-mailed universal's customer support and was given the following response:

Thank you for your e-mail. This means that your first visit date must be no
later than 4 September. If you are visiting later than that date you would
need to purchase the regular Power Pass.

Hmm.. that's odd. I hope that you got an auto-reply to your email, and they didn't read it that well.

I just copied this from the Universal website:

"Coupon redemption expires 9/4/05" is at the bottom of the purchase screen.

Also, the coupon itself states:

"Get $20 off a Universal Orlando Annual Power Pass ($99.95 + tax w/discount) thru 9/4/05. Restrictions apply. Call 877-717-3320 with code XXXXXXX."

I don't see where it has to be activated, just purchased. I'm understanding it to read that you have to use the lottery coupon code before 9/4/05. I'm calling back right now to double check.

I went on the web site after reading this & saw that they are saying 9/4. I know the cm at guest services told me 7/31. I guess he wasn't correct. That gives my daughter's boyfriend time to decide now. He missed the 7/31 had that really been the deadline.

Thanks in advance if someone can email me the Florida Lottery ticket code. After scouring the boards I am under the assumption I can activate these in Nov. as long as I purchase them before Sept. 4th. So 4 passes = $80.00 so if anyone can help I would really appreciate it if you could email me.

I know everyone is looking for the code so you can save the $20 on the power pass, but I was just reading on AAA last night that you can get a 15 month (as opposed to the 12 month) thru them without the lottery code for $115. I think that is a better deal. You are paying $15 more but getting 3 more months use of it....

I'd love a code as well. We are going for 2 days and have APs, but are bringing my mom and her BF with us. Since a two day pass is almost this much, it would be wise to get them APs in case they wanted to go back again.
