Does anyone know if Soarin' will be open to the general public next Saturday, April 23? If not, by Friday 4/29? Would it be open at park opening and the remainder of the day?

Thanks!

The only thing I think we can do is wait until after this weekend's AP preview and see if they run it in "soft opening" all day long. (We should get some reports here on the DIS) The official opening date is May 5th, but even with Mission Space, they had it open all day long in soft opening before the official opening and press event.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a soft opening during our trip. (4/22-4/30)

We'll be there the same time (21st - 30th) and I not only have my fingers crossed I have my toes, legs and eyes crossed too! You'll recognize me if you see me - I'm the crosseyed one that looks like a pretzel hoping to get on Soarin'!!!!! :teeth: :rotfl: :Pinkbounc

We've got our fingers crossed too. I really hope we get a chance to ride :bounce: See you guys in 5 days

We weren't even going to do Epcot, but everyone is telling me how great this ride is.....hoping we can get on!!! See you guys there! :cool1:

Just back from the passholders opening last night. This ride is quite the RUSH!! We went back around for a second time, wife and friend went back for the third time. We talked to a cast member while they rode. He claimed that the land and ride wouldn't open until May 5th. They expect 3 hour waits for the ride. It is quite impressive though, and hope you catch a soft opening

I heard the same thing on Friday for the preview. It would be nice for Disney to do soft openings after today but, like someone else said, don't hold your breath. You never know what will happen except this: the lines WILL be three hours once it's opened..you can bank on it!

We are so hoping that it will be open when we are there next week. We are going back to WDW in Dec but we really would like to be able to ride it now. So we are here keeping our fingers crossed also. :wizard:

We rode it today for the Passholder preview! It was great! And only a 15 minute wait, you gotta love that. :cloud9:
The CM's were reiterating over and over and over though, that the general public opening was going to be May 5th. Maybe you'll get a CM with a soft spot in a good mood and they'll let you on. Today, it was strictly passholders and DVC members, and they really sticking to it.
Very cool ride.

I will keep my fingers crossed for all of you that are heading down before Soarin's official opening. I had the chance to ride it at DCA and it was AWESOME.

Lucky for me, I'll be down at WDW in June again to catch it there and then in July we are heading out to CA and the 50th celebration!

I think Soarin' would be the perfect ride for a singles rider line too. But I don't recall seeing one.
Does CA Soarin' have a single riders line?

Yes - when we were in CA, we rode the singles line quite a few times. It is an awesome ride - we can hardly waite to ride it - but we won't be there until October!

Yeah..I rode it three times today! The lines were about a 20 min wait each time..no biggie. I talked to one of the CM's working outside about any soft openings before May 5th and she didn't have a clue so I think it'll be REALLY hit and miss..IF they even have one. So, it's anyone's guess if you can ride it before 05/05/05!

BTW..I just uploaded a few of the pix I took today. :teeth:

When they did the other sneek peaks during the "spring break week" - The CM's didn't even know if they were going to do anything until they came into work for the day. The sneek peaks are completely unanounced.

Right...I guess it's a matter of too many hands in the pot and no one knowing what's going on.

I was there ;ast week, and they were not allowing any test rides while we there. :( I was kind of disappointed. He said the official date was may 5ththough.

Glad it will have Fast pass though
