Will restaurants heat up things for baby?

If I have some of my baby's foods will any restaurants warm them up for you? I was thinking of bringing some of those Gerber Graduate Raviolis etc.

Food brought in from outside is not allowed to be taken back into any kitchen to be heated up for liability issues. Most hotels have microwaves in their quick service areas that you can use.

I wouldn't expect them to heat up anything for you. The Health department rules are pretty strict regarding the preparation of food in restaurants and they usually don't heat "external" food in the kitchen.

That being said, it can't hurt to ask when you're at the restaurant.

They won't heat things up, but they are very accomodating. SIL has a 14 month old and we frequent the restaurants with them all the time. While the baby eats most everything now, we've had places bring her plain pasta, yogurt, hot water for cereal, plain chicken breast and turkey, cooked veggies, etc., with little or no charge. SIL always travels with food for the baby (she's always made her own) "just in case" but has never had a problem at Disney.

I'm pretty sure they won't heat it up for you because of health department regulations. But will this work? Explain to the waitress what you need to do, and ask for a bowl of hot water -- like you were ordering a cup of tea, only in a bowl. Then, set the jar in the hot water to warm. I don't know if it would get hot enough, but thought I'd make the suggestion.

haven't done this w/those Gerber graduate things, but have done it plenty of times w/bottles and jars. the main problem we have run into is that the server will fill the glass/mug too full so that when you put the jar into it, it overflows. it also takes a little while to heat up (depending on the temp of the water, of course)...maybe a few minutes.

Last year when we went my DD was 18 months and practically lived on those Gerber Graduate Raviolis. I brought a ton of them. When we were having dinner in the parks, I would first go the the baby center and use the microwaves in there. I would do them a few extra seconds so they were sure to stay hot until we got to our restaurant. If we were eating outside the parks, we were usually at our resort first, which was OKW and I would heat in in the microwave in our room there before we went to dinner. I have tried the boiling water thing with those at other times but the food only got lukewarm at best and it took forever. The water would cool off way before the food got hot, so I wouldn't recommend doing that. But between the baby centers, the microwaves in some of resorts counter service areas, and depending on where you are staying, the facilities in your room, you should be fine. Also, some resorts might provide a microwave in your room if you ask, I'm not sure. Also, I know that you can rent a small microwave from www.abbf.com . We rented a crib from them the past 2 years and they are very easy to deal with and I highly recommend them. Have a great vacation!
