I am bringing refillable water bottles (empty as I THINK I read they can't be filled) with sealed bottle water in our back pack. Was wondering if they parks food places, not the sit downs but the more quick service or ice cream places etc.... will give ice?

I am sure can answeryour question better.:goodvibes:goodvibes

It's been a couple years since I've asked for ice, but when I did, everyplace I asked fave me a cup of ice gladly.

as of last October you could still get free ice in a cup...:surfweb: sealed water can still go thru security as well

We taught this to my neices when we were there last June. We ended up regretting it as they wanted ice water at almost every stand they saw. They gave us a glass of ice any where we asked. They didnt want to just use a drinking fountain. The ice water was much better.

You can bring refillable bottles full of water into the parks. You can bring in open bottles of water. To my knowledge they do not have to be sealed.

We brought refillable, filtered water bottles to the Parks every day in May. When we entered the Parks they always had ice and water in them..never a problem with security. We got free ice water from the stands in the Parks to refill them throughout the day. When the ice lasted longer than the water we used the bubblers in the Parks. Worked well and saved us a ton of $$.
:)

As of last sept you could ask for a cup of ice (or icewater) at most CS places. Sure saved us a TON of money. and kept our girls hydrated on days that were very very hot! its more fun to drink anything out of a cup with mickey and gang on it isnt it? we even brought those little koolaide go packs to flavor the water with since florida tap water isnt the greatest.

we cheat. we use a camelback. depending on circumstances, we either fill it with water the night before( about 2/3) and freeze it, or in the am before heading out fill it with ice from the machines and top off with water from the tub.

rarely do we run out in the middle of the day. and the backpack nicely stores the umbrella and any souvenirs we get.

that is correct and they will gladly give you a cup of ice & water, or just a cup filled with ice or water.
