Will my ADR interfere with Fantasmic?

For some reason, I thought Fantasmic started at 9pm, like most of the other nighttime shows at WDW. Upon further reading I see that it starts at 8:30. We have an ADR at 50's Prime Time for 6:50. Will we likely be out in time to catch Fantasmic? I know we wouldn't get prime seats, by any means, but would we be able to get in at all? We have a Star Tours FP for 6:20-7:20, but could be willing to forgo this if we need to move our ADR. This would be for Monday, 4/24.
Thanks!

You can make it there and get in. You won't have up close seats and will be rushing through dinner, but you can make it.

I would push the ADR up or just go to the restaurant at like 6pm and see how long the wait for a table would be then

You should be ok giving it being a Monday. With that said though, most of my 50's Prime Time meals have lasted an hour or a little longer. I have seen the stand by seating for Fantasmic full with 30 minutes until showtime, but that was during busier times of the year. I would try and book your Star Tours fastpass earlier, so you can try and get a 4th fastpass for Fantasmic. Another thing to think about is 50's Prime Time could be running behind with their ADR's. I have waited 5-20 minutes after my ADR time before.

Good luck and have fun! 50's Prime Time is one of my favorite restaurants at WDW, and Fantasmic is always a great show.

Thanks. We can't book the FP earlier, as we have back to back FPs for Tot, and RC right before. We're rope dropping Animal Kingdom earlier in the day, then heading over to HS later in the afternoon. I wish they would let you make FP reservations for more than one park at a time. We may end up bumping our ADR up if we can. About what time would you recommend to get to Fantasmic at a decent time?

I always show up for shows an hour in advance. I am someone though who is very picky on where I like to sit/stand, and I usually prefer shows over attractions. For Fantasmic, I have seen a lot of people on here recommend an hour, and I do agree with them. I have never done stand-by, so I can't give accurate info. I can only go based on what I have observed. Stand-by usually fills up quicker than the DP or FP seating for what I have seen. I usually do the dining package or get a fastpass for it.

I get to Fantasmic about an hour before because we like to sit in the very front. If you want the best choice in seats then I reccomend 45-60 min ahead

Well I just checked, and the only other time that 50's Prime Time has free is for 7:50, so at least for now, we'll just have to do the best we can. I'll keep checking to see if an earlier ADR, or a FP for Fantasmic becomes available that night. Thanks for your help!

And I actually like to do the opposite...Sit in the back. The only time we sat in the 4th row (close to the front lol), we got soaked. My Dad and I both wear glasses, and we spent most of the show cleaning our glasses than watching, because we couldn't see. The mist kept messing with our glasses lol. Plus, sitting in the back, you get a head start on the exit after the show. :)

Ah! Good point! I wear glasses and hate it when I need to constantly clean them. A quick exit sounds appealing as well. Thanks for the tip! :thanks:

Just a note, an FP for Fantasmic! doesn't guarantee you a good seat. The FP side will fill up just as quickly. I do believe they guarantee entry though, but if you are too late you will be on the very end.

We tried to go to Fantasmic at the end of February and they had closed to standby guests a little less than half an hour prior to showtime. We have been fortunate enough to see Fantasmic a few times so we weren't working our day around it and it wasn't the end of the world for us (they still had "standing room" availability but no one in our group was interested in that or in seeing if we might be able to squeeze in somewhere), but particularly since April can be busier noting this since you should probably plan to be there more than 30 minutes before showtime if it is important to you to see it
