Will McCain Have Any Friends Left?

Now that the campaigns are in the final stretch, John McCain appears to be burning every bridge possible to get elected to POTUS. He has attacked Obama, Bush, Pelosi, Reid(sp?) and every member of the Senate in the past 4 days. The damage that he is causing to his relationships with these people would be impossible to overcome. McCain claims to "reach across the aisle" to the other major party, yet he is currently casting stones at any and all politicians in an attempt to sway voters. For a candidate who claims that his opponent "will say anything to get elected," he should watch video of his current speeches and drop the attacks.
While negative campaigning may be great for sound bytes and the printed media, the general public are the losers in this entire mess. Instead of focusing on his platform and his specific plans for a possible administration, McCain has taken the path that the public MUST elect him to POTUS to keep the Democrats from being in power. What happened to promoting what a candidate's strengths are instead of constantly attacking an opponents character? While McCain might have provided an alternative to the Bush administration, his message is lost due to his current "panic mode" campaign.
Anyone else ready for this election to be over?

They are all old hats at this game. I'm sure that this is just business as usual to that crew.

And yes, I'm ready for it to be over. :goodvibes

Do you actually believe that any of these people were his friends to begin with? Maybe it's possible that he was semi-friendly with Bush but the are and have been his mortal enemies.

Okay maybe just enemies. I know I look at them as enemies, they want to change the entire country and not in a good way. Just my opinion.

McCain will have plenty of friends when he wins the presidency. I wouldn't worry about it. :goodvibes

It's nice to see such concern for him though

The funny thing is that alot of his "friends" now are people who loathed him up until 2 years ago.

Many of his allies (alot of reach across the aisle types;) ) now are his enemies.

Politicians never have friends. I would imagine that anyone in high level politics understands the process.

SO ready for this election to be over with.

Oh yeah, because Nancy Pelosi is just the model of decorum. :rotfl2:
