Will it be too crowded to do any CS meals

We're going over Christmas and have ADRs for one and sometimes two meals each day. I'd like to have just one sit down each day. Will it be crazy crowded at CS spots, making table seats the better choice?

No, we ate plenty of CS during our Christmas trip (along with a TS a day, on average). Eat early. I would try to eat lunch at 11-11:30, depending on when the location you want opens and dinner before 5 PM. Our CS experiences at those times of day were the same as we've had every other trip at those same times of day - no lines at all, or very minimal.

I was going to second the motion to eat at early times. I have gone over both Thanksgiving and New Years, and eating at 11am and before 5pm is always the best option. You will definitely miss the rushes in those cases.

I completely agree with the PPs. Early is best! My son has a food allergy, so we try to arrive at lunch opening so that we can get things taken care of before the crowds swoop in.

We visited a few years ago during Xmas week, and I could swear that some counter service places opened between 10:30 and 11:00. We had just eaten poptarts on the way to the bus, so we were thrilled to eat lunch before 11. We certainly beat the crowd!!!

No matter the time of year when my family and I are at WDW if we are in any of the parks and are planning to have lunch at a Quick Service location, we always go at 11:00 AM which is when most of them will open.

even be rewarded for eating early. Disney at times has experimented with coupons providing discounts for early dining at CS locations if they are anticipating large crowds.
