Will it be Nutso May 5th?

My good friend called this morning and told me she is planning on going to Disney on May 3rd for four nights.

I told her about the Happiest Celebration, and she said "every year it is something else...100 years of magic, yada yada."

I told her I thought it may be extremely crowded, and there may not even be availability at any Disney hotels.

Any thoughts on her anticipated arrival during this extravaganza?

With all the media there May 3-6 they are probably holding tons of rooms until they get the rsvp's. My husband is attending the media events and I think he said the deadline to respond was April 14th. After that they will probably release the extra unused rooms. (I'm just guessing)

My neighbor just booked at OKW, with no problem. They said they had plenty of rooms. She even got all of PS she wanted. All of us will be there May 8-13. Hopefully the crowds will die down abit after the weekend.

My friend and her family just booked a room for May 4-8 and had their pick of quite a few different rooms at different resorts. I was surprised actually since I was telling her I would not go at that time since i thought it would be busy etc....

We had no problem booking our PSs for that first week of May, and were even able to reserve a table for 6 at the Hoop Dee Doo Revue on the 5th for the 7:15 show.

I think concierge rooms are hard to find. We tried to get AKL concierge, but there was no availability. We're still happy with savanah view.

FYI. Epcot will close early May 5 for a press event which means that MK will be extra crowded.
