We have never used this FP for MSEP and will be coming from our BOG dinner to the FP area which I see is almost at the park entrance. Will it be difficult for us to get there from Fantasyland 20 minutes before the parade starts? I didnt know if the streets were blocked off or whatnot. Also, we have a Wishes FP for an hour after MSEP. Should we have any problems getting there after the parade?

And in the MSEP area, is it front row on the curb or is it first come first served and you have a chance to watch from behind 20 people?

Not at all. We actually arrived about 15 minutes prior to the parade starting (coming from the HM) and had no issues at all. The street is always open for foot traffic.

You did not mention the DATE that you will be doing this.
If it is between now and Jan. 5, it will be far more difficult than at a "normal" time.
Regardless-

1. I'd not wait any later than that.
2. You'll want to watch for the very last float in the MSEP and then get right into the street and follow the end of the parade
down Main St. until you reach the Wishes FP+ area(s) and pick one to enter.
3. Depends. If you arrive as late as you mention above (20 min. before) you might (or might not) find a spot on the curb.
There will be more guests in the FP area than can fit on the curb. But, you won't be "behind 20 people."
You can find a spot where you are behind just one -up to a few- guests if you arrive 20 minutes, or so, before the parade.

As with anything at WDW, its better to arrive far too early than to arrive one minute too late.

4. Is one better than the other?

1. This year, when they rebuilt the Hub adding these two new areas.
2. No.
3. Yes.
4. Nope. (Although, like anything else, you can find posts that will say otherwise.)

We asked a cast member how to get from teh FP area to the Castle hub to see wishes and she suggested we follow the last float too! We had a blast! WE did go all the way to the castle and got a center spot, too close for a great view of Wishes, but awesome for the CTM show, which is what I wanted.

I know folks say that a FP is wasted for these parades and shows, but we missed the MSEP twice due to heavy crowds, so it was worth it to me. The only thing that would make that FP better is if a vender went through like they do at baseball games. LOL!
