We have reservations to 1900 PF for Christmas Day for breakfast at 11:05. We will be coming from off-property. It just dawned on me that the GF shares the same entrance as MK. I know that MK usually closes about that time on Christmas Day so I am concerned about getting to our ADR. Does anybody know what the traffic patterns are? Do they keep it moving so we could still get in? Is there another entrance that I don't know about? Please help!:santa:

You should be fine, I would maybe aim to get there at say 10:30, the Grand Floridian is lovely with the big gingerbread house so you can always look around while you wait.

If you are really worried, you could always park over at DTD, then take a GF bus over there. But I think you will be fine. Just have your ADR number ready so that if the MK is closed, you have that to show them as the reason you are entering.

No no don't park at DTD and take a bus - that will take forever! I do agree with planning on getting there around 10:30 though - the GF is lovely at Christmas!

The OP should go through the toll gates telling them they have reservations at GF - go to far right so you will be where you need to be going through the gates.

Once at GF you can either valet park or self park - you will have to tell them at the guard gate you are there for a reservation and they may ask you for the confirmation number or your name.

We have done this on Easter - last thing before heading home and its never been a problem so I am sure Christmas will be just the same.

I suggested that because in the event the park is closed to capacity, the line of cars will back up for a very long ways trying to get into MK. And believe me, that takes forever too and its a nightmare. I do think at that time, she'll be okay. Normally, I don't think the MK fills to capacity on Christmas Day until later. And since lots of people will be going to the resort hotels to eat, they will have a system in place I am sure. She seemed worried, so I offered that as a possible solution, not as an ideal one!

I think the OP will be fine, but I would allow PLENTY of time. To snake her way up through the line of cars if that is the case.

Definitely stay to the far right when you get to the entrance.
