Will I still get my voucher?

A friend and I gave a day yesterday volunteering at our local YMCA. When we left the coordinator there asked us if we'd signed up at the Disney site. Well, we really hadn't--when we both signed up to "express interest" we didn't realize there was another step. So, when we tried to sign up "after the fact," we couldn't input the correct date. We ended up just putting the next day. Do you think we'll still get our vouchers? Is Disney super sticklers about this? We leave in 2 weeks.....

I would suggest contacting the coordinator at the YMCA and explain what you had done. Then the coordinator can do what is necessary to show that you performed the service.

But you may be out of luck, the sequence is Register, Express Interest, Make the Commitment, Perform the Servcice, Have the Service Confirmed.

The step you did not complete puts you on the organizations verification list. Once a volunteer completes their service, their name is checked off from this list. Since you are not on the list, the organization will not be able to verify your service. You will have to contact the organization, but even then, I am not sure they can help you. They have to follow certain steps put in place by Disney. You may have to contact Disney directly and explain it to them and see what they advise. I am running a volunteer program and I have had to contact people several times to remind them to complete all the steps. I imagine most organizations don't do that, they just figure you changed your mind. Hope you can work something out.

Also be aware that it can take two weeks to get your ticket, so you may be out of luck with the timing.
