I have a 4:50pm dinner booked at Chefs de France on Saturday, August 20th. Will I be able to see Remy? I read that he appears at 5:20? Is this right? :confused3 I was going to book a later meal time, but was hoping to see him.

Thanks!

Maybe...If you are seated on time and Remy is not having any "technical issues" that day.If you are seated late you will miss him and he only makes 1 circuit of the dining room, he does not come back for people that were not seated or in the restroom etc.He also seems to have occasional technical issues and he won't appear at all and without prior notice

Yes, if you are seated when he comes around, and he hasn't broken down.

I was in the restaurant once when he broke down halfway around, and only half the restaurant got to interact with him.

Thanks for the info!

I'm thinking of changing my ADR to a later time, and forgetting about trying to see Remy. We love Remy:lovestruc, but I don't know if I want to rush to dinner and then not see him. Even though we love Remy, he's not our main reason for eating in France--we've never tried it and are excited to do something new.

Oh, I'm so confused about what I should do. :confused3

My brother's family is eating dinner at 5:45 at San Angel Inn. We'll be with them throughout the day, except for dinner. My parents and I were torn between the earlier and later dinner times. Either way, we're eating an hour before or after my brother. Our choices were 4:50, 6:40, or 7:20 (DH and I normally make ADRs for around 7pm, although we've also enjoyed early dinners too).

I'm horrible at sticking to a decision. Any advice?

Don't count on seeing Remy. I had an ADR that put us in the prime time of when Remy should have come out and he didn't. While that wasn't the reason for our visit there or the ADR time, it would have been an added bonus. And since the food and ambience were only so-so, I think it would have made the dinner better. But don't time your ADR around Remy because you may or may not see him.

Also, while having an ADR is a good idea for wherever you decide, you can always try to get seated at a different place or a different time and if it doesn't work out, you can use your ADR. You can always try and look lots of times before you go too! Many folks cancel at that 45 day mark and even closer!

Although Remy is a highly sophisticated audio-animatronic figure that can break down unexpectedly we've had reservations 3 times hoping to see Remy and he was there all 3 times. :)

We usually have dinner around 8, but for Les Chefs and Remy we ate at 5. It was early, but there's always the Patisserie or Kringla at Norway for yummy desserts later in the evening.

We are 2 for 2 with Remy. He is soooo adorable.

We did the Candlelight Processional package, and picked eating in France because I just had to see Remy - my husband wanted to eat in Germany, but he let me choose.... And Remy never showed! He was supposed to be there, but had issues. Also, it was a good meal, but had we not been on the dining plan (it used 2 credits as it wasn't just a meal, we got early admission to the show) it would so not have been worth it. We've had much better at much less expensive Disney restaurants. :)

We saw him both in 2009 & 2010!! He is so cute and the CM that brings him around ( I think his name was Armand) is hilarious :)
Hope you get to see him.

You should go to Chefs de France for the food. Consider seeing Remy as a bonus.

Can you tell me more about Remy? I am not familiar with this. We have reservations at 5:00 pm on Sunday, October 23. Is this a show we will see? Tell me more. :)

Our number one reason for booking the ADR was to try the restaurant. We've been to almost all of the WS restaurants, except this one. We're excited to try it. Remy would be a huge bonus, as Ratatouille is one of DH's favorite Disney movies. Sometimes I catch him watching it while he eats breakfast. :goodvibes

Unfortunately, he doesn't seem to come out on Sundays.

He looks so cute! I would really love to see him.

I just spoke to everyone in my group and we've decided to take a chance with the 4:50 ADR and cross our fingers that Remy will appear. If he doesn't, I suppose we'll just sit back and enjoy the meal. :)

Thanks for the responses! I'd love to hear more about people's visits with Remy!

Thanks for the info. I was able to switch our reservations to Monday and hope that we can get a chance to see him. Our fingers will be crossed. Thanks again for the information.

Remy does not appear on Sundays. So if you keep that reservation, you will not experience the show.

That's so cool. We've never met another Cora either. She's my 5yo niece, and my brother named her after my grandmother. My grandmother passed away about 10 years before she was born, so they never had a chance to meet. However, she'll proudly tell people that she was named after Grandma Cora.
