Will I regret Sunday/Monday in parks mid Aug?

I'm way over thinking the dates of a semi-last minute trip, but need to book tix now.
Trying to be conscientious of DH's work schedule, so looking at park days being Sun/Mon/Tues. Will I regret Sun/Mon with crowds? (Aug 14/15), or would it be worth it to push to have Tues/Wed/Thurs in parks of that week. Will it make enough of a difference or comparable and really not a big deal? I've asked in another thread and summer crowds in general don't seem to be too bad, but up and down I've gathered.

Rope drop, hit this early and hard, break mid-day, return with a plan for dinner and a "spectacular" and you won't care if it's a 1 or a 10.... Well maybe if it's a 1, but it's never a 1 anymore.

We rope drop or magic morning rope drop if on property each day, tour until 10:30 or so and have brunch and then either swim if back at the hotel or do less popular or FP attractions if we remain in the park. We nearly always do a package for PTN and now the WOC Dessert party once each trip, but used to do the dinner package and loved it. Your mileage may vary....

Thanks! Yes, we always rope drop with mid afternoon break. This trip we are only doing 3 days, so was hoping we may be able to go a bit longer and accomplish at least some things during the afternoon to maximize our time. Wasn't sure if it would be so noticeably busier Sun/Mon compared to mid week. I would expect it to be, but not sure if I'm worrying too much.

Do you have kids too? Or just you and husband going?

I've never regreted a day spent at Disneyland. Even when we were there for the opening of the 60th and the park hit capacity. We still had a good day. I agree with the previous poster who said it will be okay as long as you're there at opening. Just have realistic expectations that this is summer and the parks are full of visitors.

I don't think you will regret it, but it will be busy! I find Sunday's and Monday's the busiest days of the week anymore. At least when I have been there over the past few years. I think because no passes are blocked on those days in the summer.

With that week being about the last week of Summer Vaca for a lot of kids, it probably won't matter too much. I went on a Sunday-Tues Morn trip last June with the family. Yes, it was crowded, which was expected. But we still loved it. Get there early and buy a fan mister - they make a huge difference when it's hot.

Everytime we go we start our trips on sunday...and for us...they are almost always our slowest days in the park. Mondays are awful due to alot of the passes being blocked on the weekends. I've dubbed Mondays local days. We run a social club and Sunday are our days there. They are always pleasant

I always go on Sundays, irrespective of blackout dates, etc. I get a lot done in all of the lands by or before 10:30. It tends to get busy shortly thereafter. But those first few hours are always awesome.

Have a great visit!
