Will I regret it?

Hope it's okay that I post this question here too. I also posted on the Orlando hotels board.

I just cancelled POR for Sheraton Safari because of the great rate. Am I going to regret it? It'll just be my DH and me. I'm really nervous. I'm justifying the decision because we'll be in Orlando for 2 1/2 days, spending 1 day at Universal and the remainder at WDW and need to rent a car anyway. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

I have never been to POR and actually I have never stayed onsite.(will be in October) We have went several times and always stayed offsite and have never had a "bad" trip! We love Disney and would go every year no matter where we stayed, what I am trying to say is if the price is right then go for it. You are going to be in Florida enjoying Disney, thats enough for me!!! :) :)

If you were visiting Disney for a long time period or just doing WDW, I would say stay onsite. But since you are only doing 1.5 days at Disney, I think the Sheraton will work well for you and your family.

With a day at Universal and only a day and a half at Disney, you'll hardly have time to see or explore your hotel, plus you will have a car. You absolutely made the right choice! Enjoy the added peace of mind that your budget is better off and you may even be able to afford a nicer dinner out with some of your savings!!!

:flower: :sunny: Have a GREAT trip!!! :sunny: :flower:

I don't think so. My trips have been magical - onsite or offsite, didn't matter at all. Vacations are what you make of it. You aren't going to be there long, you likely wouldn't have time to use amenities at either place, and you will be at 2 different parks anyways.

Go, have fun, and do a happy dance because you're saving money! =)

We stayed at the Sheraton Safari once with the 3 ds, we had the room that had the 2 beds and then the other part was the kitchen, sofa bed area. Our 3 ds loved the snake slide at the pool. We also didnt spend alot of time at the resort. Its very close to the parks and the major road so I think you made a great decision for the time you are spending there.

I've stayed at the Safari Sheraton as well and it is a nice hotel. There are a large number of restaurants and a grocery store nearby. The hotel is also less than 1/4 mile from the Downtown Disney entrance. I think you'll be happy with your choice.

Have fun!
