Will I regret it if we don't see Wishes?

We are traveling to WDW in October, just DH and me. I have jam packed our six day schedule so full that I really don't have time for Spectromagic/Wishes. The only days I would have time are either MNSSHP days (which we decided not to do this time), so that's out, or our arrival day on which I really just want to have a nice early dinner and rest up for our first day in the parks. We plan to see Illuminations, Fantasmic, and Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade. Do you think that will be enough "events," or is Wishes just so spectacular that it can't be missed?

Personally, I couldn't go to WDW without seeing either Spectro or Wishes. They are both beautiful and so much of what makes Disney special.

We always skipped it. That is until my girlfriends dad went with us and he wanted to see it. I am so glad we did! I agree it is something special......i say you have to see it at least once.

Have you seen wishes before? If not I would not miss it. especially if you are going to share it with your spouse on an adults only trip. I have a suggestion.... Have a late dinner on arrival day and eat at Ohana's, get a reservation about an hour before Wishes starts and enjoy a leisurely dinner (be sure to ask for a window table). Dinner at Ohana with Wishes for desert is very magical!

I've been known to take people visiting us here in Orlando just to see Wishes. We park in a good viewing area outside the park and I play the official soundtrack from a CD in the vehicle timed correctly to match the fireworks. It's that good!

"IT'S THE BLUE FAIRY!!!!!"

Man, I wish my grandparents offered that kind of service when I visit them in Orlando! We always visit them after staying at DIsney for a week, but how nice if on our last night in FL they did that! :goodvibes

I'm not a big fan of Fantasmic but I do like Illuminations and Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade. But I would put Wishes and Spectro at the top of my list. I cannot imagine going to WDW and not seeing Wishes. It is just wonderful. And SpectroMagic is my favorite parade. I would encourage you to find a way to see Wishes at least, and preferably see it in the MK. After you get back from your trip, I think you will find that "Wishes" will become one of the most enduring memories of your trip.

My favorite nighttime show is Illuminations, but I would put Wishes ahead of Fantasmic.

you must see WISHES!!! It is so amazing it is hard todescribe how it makes you feel. I get teary eyed and happy all at the same time!

Im not planning on seeing Wishes in April. IF I can see them from my BCV room, fine. If not thats ok too. We'll be back in Aug and staying at the VWL where it will be easier to get back after they're finished. This April Im planning on seeing Illuminations the 5 nights Im at the BCV.

We HAVE seen Fantasmic, Illuminations and Wishes. Now we/I see whatever is easiest depending on where we're staying.

If you are like me, I personally could care less about Fireworks thus I never watch Wishes or any of the others.

We're planning a very short trip in September - right now we're booked for only 2 nights, but we may change our travel plans to get another night in Disney. I told DH he had to choose 2 out of the 3 - Wishes, Illuminations or Fantasmic. He chose Illuminations and Fantasmic (the last time we went, he missed Fantasmic because of a sick child). I chose Wishes and Fantasmic. I wouldn't miss Wishes for anything - so hopefully, we'll add the 3rd night and be able to see all 3!! Wishes is my absolute favorite though!

You MUST see Wishes...it is beautiful and magical and my favorite thing to do at Disneyworld. On my 10 day honeymoon, my husband and I saw Wishes every single night...it's that good. We had to make a major sprint to make it one night...I cried every time. I have the soundtrack and when I play it I feel that same magical feeling.

Yes I am a Disney Dork...but Wishes IS not to be missed.pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Thanks for all these answers! I think I have worked it out with DH to attend MNSSHP after all. I did some research and saw that our Tuesday that week is one of the least attended parties. Plus I didn't realize just how much there is to do! And I've never ridden any MK rides in the dark. :) That being said, we will now have the Halloween Parade and HalloWishes in our schedule. I know it's not the same as Wishes, but at least we will get some MK fireworks in this way.
