Will I offend you?

When I was buying school clothes for DD6 this summer she needed some new undies and at JCPenney they sell THONGS for her size. I about FLIPPED MY LID!!! Why try to introduce that stuff at such an early age.

The serious dance and gymnastics community, for one. When I was a kid in dance we were told not to wear panties, and most girls really hated that. Many teachers *will* allow students to wear thongs, though, now that they are available. Penneys may be selling them for fashion wear, but not everyone who buys them does so for "fashion" reasons.

IMy dad likes to call them "muffins" because when they wear those low rider jeans their gut is hanging over just like a muffin does when you put too much batter in the pan..HAHAHA
You Dad does have the term right. They call that roll above the tight low cut jeans "muffin tops" around here. :thumbsup2

Being a bellydancer and having taken my kids to belly dance shows its just dance and just human bodies so what :thumbsup2

I was thinking oh cool another belly dancer on here, then saw who the poster is....... Hey woman

Oceana and I are in the same class/student troop. Both our kids attend performances. I've yet to see a costume that I would find offensive. Heck most BD costumes cover more skin than what a lot of the teen girls wear in the mall.

Sounds like you might be making the costume yourself?

:lmao: I have had one of those moments with the speedo only it was with an englishman after a friends wedding in FL. We all went over to her aunts house for a swim and here he comes in his speedo dancing proudly around the pool singing "Henry the VIII, I AM" it was such a sight until he stepped on a frog and squished it with his bare feet and then his wife told him he had to go inside and sit down. :rotfl2:

ROFL! I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes I'm laughing so hard!!! Thanks for the great story!

OP - I'm with everyone else - go for it! We'll be there at MNSSHP on the 29th (and hopefully hooking up for photos with you on the 28th from my other post) So I'll see you there :)

We'll be there too! The wife will be dressed like Tink, daughter dressed as a princess (or Boo on Monsters Inc, which she REALLY looks a lot like) and my son will be dressed like Sora on Kingdom Hearts. Not sure how I'll be if I dress up at all.

We are all going to have a great time and we should all say hi to each other. I can't wait and I promise I have no hang around my waist. I am making a pair of panties to go over the pants to make sure all is covered. I just worry a lot as I have seen so many folks in clothes they should never be in. I don't want to wear something that would not look good and I don't want what should not been seen ...seen. I guess I am old fashion and modest but still want to look nice.

Have fun! SEe you there.

Hey if a VERY FLUFFY lady at Typhoon Lagoon can wear a string bikini and all you could see were the strings that tied on the sides of the bottoms, then you can wear your outift. I would much rather see your belly and shoulders than the nasty that hung out and over her bikini bottoms... :rotfl2:

My first intro into the new neighberhood was a late forties blonde that was really muffinated in a pink YARN bikini.....pretty sure it was homeade.... she was bending over the way she shouldn't be in that thing...waterering the garden. When I water I don't bend over... I wish she hadnt.

nasty.

And wear it proudly! You will never see those people again but your memories are forever.

Your post reminded me of a Disney memory. 1st trip to Disney Anaheim with DS 4. By day 2 husband (now ex!) was getting annoyed with the amount of stopping, waiting and posing with characters. So I agreed No More that day. Then out of the clear blue sky, he grabs DS and says, "I want a photo with the character over there". I was pleased and followed quickly...and then my eyes came to rest on Jasmine. The hottest, most beautiful Jasmine ever!! Perfect in all the right areas! No wonder he wanted a photo :rotfl:

No wonder he's your ex! :moped:
