Will I need reservations for Tokyo Dining for lunch?

We will be at Epcot the middle of September. My husband and and along with his dad will want some sushi for lunch while spending most of the day at Epcot's world showcase. Since I really have no idea what time we will be ready to eat or close by the Japan pavilion, I didn't want to make ADR for Tokyo Dining. So do you think it will be possible to get a table for a sushi meal at lunch without reservations or a massive wait time????

I am hoping that sushi and Tokyo Dining are not popular choices for most people as a lunch meal while in Epcot!

To be safe, make an adr.

During free dining everything fills up fast, including Tokyo.

People start having difficulties finding the restaurants they want at dinner, so then they check lunch. So lunch ressies fill up quick as well.
