Sometimes you do. Some lines are very detailed, like Kali River Rapids and Expedition Everest. They are really amazing to look at. Some are just plain queue lines. But most of the time, the FP line is just as detailed as the stand-by line.
Yes and no. It depends on you really. Like, we had FP for the Indiana Jones ride in Disneyland, yet I knew it would probably be the only time I ever got to see it, so we walked through the FP line slowly so we could take in the details. Just let the others go by you while you look around.
The one I wouldn't race through is Tower of Terror. The details in there are great and the ride story is better to understand if you take it all in.
Not usually. My mother just came back from WDW and went on EE using the FP. Appently she missed a whole histroy of the Yetti and the Mountain that was shown in the stand-by line. Oh well - I wouldn't let that stop you from using a FP.
I know that DL's Star Tours handicapped line bypasses the C-3PO and R2-D2 parts of the queue, so I always go on that ride at least once standby/FP per trip. I don't know about WDW's version. Most of DL's FP lines are just a shorter trip through the same queue.
