We have a 10:35 ROL package for Tusker House at AK. I also have a 10:50 FP for Flight of Passage. I was originally told I wouldn't be able to make the FP and I don't really want to miss it. That would be a bummer, but today someone told me I should be able to make it. I'm not really sure what I should do.

I wouldn't...theoretically maybe but it would be an AWFUL rush and stressful to the max. And that's if everything goes exactly right, which it probably doesn't. (like you getting seated by 10:35 which isn't likely) Ditch the ADR, trust me there's much less worry watching ROl than getting on FOP.Either eat earlier,or just don't do the package. I think FOP is always a solid 3 hour wait without a fp+. We walked over to ROL and watched from the back area right as it started with no crowds or issues.

Okay thank you! I have an 8:30 am ADR but it isn't with the ROL package. Otherwise, I can try to do lunch. I can't decide which would be better.

I couldn't say definitely since I've never done Tusker House but I don't think I'd do it. FP usually last for an hour so that would put you 11:50 at the VERY latest you can get in which would give you roughly about an hour and a half at the restaurant IF they take you in on time (which most restaurants don't). I think it would make me too stressed to enjoy my dining experience with having to worry about being on time for my FP.

There have been people reporting that if they dropped their regular reservation, they have been able to pick it up with the ROL package. Maybe worth a try? Maybe in the middle of the night? lol

We had a 10:40 ADR in November and weren't seated until 11:10. We did check in late, but had arrived on time - the line to check in was more than 10 minutes long. We left the restaurant after noon, maybe around 12:15. If you were seated on time, you could make it. But if you end up with a day like we did, you won't.

We hadn't booked the ROL package, but they asked if we wanted the vouchers for it. They were asking everyone. I don't know if I'd rely on that if I really wanted ROL, but you might get lucky.

I agree with you. I think we would just feel rushed. I'll keep looking to see if I can move my FP later.

I might have to try that lol! I'll definitely wait until later because I don't want to lose my 8:30 time.

That would be awesome if they had some extra vouchers for us. I might ask if they have any just to see what they say. I don't think I'm going to try to do the 10:35 ADR unless I'm able to move our FP later.

Here's my response from the other thread:

Unless you guys take your time and eat really slow, then I don't see why you'd miss it. You don't have to hurry and rush though. Just show up a little early and try to get seated early. You'd basically have 90 min if you're seated right at 10:35 to make your FP. If you can get seated at 10:15 then that would be even better. But even at a casual pace I don't see why you couldn't be done by 11:45

Technically the very latest they could use the FP would be 12:05 since there's a 15 min grace period. 5 min early, 15 min late

I would try to move it but I think you will make it... Arrive early and hope you are seated on time or early. We spent about an hour once seated eating and visiting with the characters a couple weeks ago at about the same time. You can use the Africa entrance to get to FOP, less than 10 minute walk. You should have until 12:05 with the grace period meaning , if seated on time, you have an hour and a half to eat and get to the ride to scan in.

I'm confused. Are you thinking of doing TH at 8:30 and at 10:35? Or is the early ADR elsewhere?

I believe OP has both currently. They want to do the dining package and have it for 10:35. They also have an 8:30 reservation at TH that they tried to get their dining package changed to but the CM told them they couldn't.

TH is always a buffet right? Without having to wait for food to be brought to you I don't see how you'd be there longer than an hour personally, unless it's the character breakfast? Also Africa is right next to Pandora so you wouldn't have far to walk.

I didn’t know about the 15 min grace period. The system just lets it stay in there 15 minutes extra?

I could only get a normal th adr for 8:30 and the 10:35 is a ROL package at th. Just trying to decide which one to do.

It’s a buffet but there are also characters to meet. I just don’t know if I want to feel rushed. It would really stink if we lost our FP because we couldn’t make it on time.

I added some new choices to the poll if anyone wants to change their answer. Thanks!

You can make it, if you don’t wait around for characters to greet you. We ended up sitting around for almost an extra hour because we had just missed Mickey when we were sat down.

I think the whole point is to eat and get to meet the characters. We don’t have many park days and our niece will want to meet the characters. She is convinced that she hates Mickey Mouse but I think that will change when she actually sees him.

If you want to be 100% positive you will meet all characters, look for a different time. It took us 90 mins, and Mickey wasn’t even back in our room. Our server let us go and meet him between rooms

Unless breakfast/lunch combo is a must, why not just do a lunch TH RoL package for after your FoP FP?
