Will I Lose Park Reservations if I Modify Resort?

Just secured my park reservations for July this morning. If I modify my dvc resort (not the dates, just the resorts) do you think I could lose my park reservations? Wondering if the computer would think I cancelled my resort when they modify it in the system...On hold with MS now to see if they know. Not sure they will know.

I modified a room reservation (changed resort and added 1 day) today after making park reservations and the park reservations are still intact.

I a.so modified and my reservations are still there! I think as long as you have one for the same dates, you will be fine.

That is how it always was with FPs too. I think this is pretty much the same

I wonder if I go from a 5 night continuous to a 4 night split stay (and then rent points from another member for the 5th night) if that might be too dicey? The system may recognize it as a cancellation rather than a modification as I'll have a different confirmation number and less nights (even if for just a 30 minutes or so)... May be too risky to do that. I would love to switch from 5 nights at SSR to 2 nights BLT and then 3 BWV because of the way our park reservations fell.

If it works like FPs, they did not cancel them as long as the new reservation was there within a week or so from when it disappeared.

So, I think you will be find except the rental as you’d want that linked to MDE quickly. As long as it shows you still having trips for the dates you booked during this 4 day early access, I can’t see why it would effect them.

It's not exactly like FP's. Yesterday, I ran into an issue where I could not book Park Reservations in August despite having AP's to cover. (I had already reserved 12 days in December covered by old MYW tickets). A tech support supervisor created dummy accounts with entitlements (I believe my own AP's), then merged the dummy accounts with the reals (which took over 90 minutes to complete with many issues along the way). I was concerned that since my real accounts did not 'see' the entitlements, I would loose my park reservations - just like FP's are lost when resort stays are cancelled. She said that there was a meeting she was part of specifically addressing this - and that for now at least - park reservations without entitlements associated will not be deleted.
