We are booked at the Beach Club for ten nights starting in a few days.Something has come up and we will be two days late arriving. I don't want to change my trip and lose my discount, but will they automatically cancel my whole paid for reservation if we check in 2 days late? Thanks

It's a big, big possiblity that your reservation will be canceled. Why not call Disney and see if they can work with you?

I would call and ask to speak with guest services and explain the situation. If you just don't show up until 2 days later, there is a chance Disney will cancel your reservation as a no show. Good luck!

Call your travel agent. They should be able to get ahold of Disney. I was the discount a TA specific discount on just a Disney discount booked through a TA? Sometimes you can change the length of trip with out loosing the discount if a room is still available. If not do online check in and pray you get skip the front desk.

You would be considered to be a no-show. You would lose your reservation and any late cancellation fees would apply. Call the TA and see if they can drop the first two nights. They are the ones who need to handle this since they are in control of the reservation.

If you booked a discounted room requiring you stay a certain amount of nights and you can't stay the allotted amount of nights then you will lose your discount.

If you booked say a free dining offer and the end of the free dining offer is on one of the days you cancel you will lose free dining for the remainder of your stay.

I believe. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

As a hotelier, this is absolutely the case. If you don't show and I have no reason why, then I'm going to try and re-rent that room to get the revenue and you will have whatever penalty is laid out in the agreement charged to your credit card. And yes, contact your TA, they own the reservation.

Is there any way one person could fly down and check in? Otherwise I'm going to echo the others, you need to have your TA handle this asap. And depending on how you are booked, if there is a discount there is no guarantee you will be able to keep it.

You definitely should not just show up two days late without getting in touch with Disney. You will be considered a no-show.

You are right. Not sure if it is the case here, but if one of the two days dropped was the last day to check in under free dining, that promo will be lost.

Just a room only discount, and all the ten days are under the discount code. I have been trying to get ahold of the agent with no response. Called Disney and they won't talk to me since I booked with the agent

I would call the agency's main phone number and let them know you have a travel emergency and need to speak with someone ASAP.

No, they won't talk to you as you technically don't own the reservation. Your TA does.

I agree with DisneyWishes14. You need to get a hold of someone at the travel agency asap and tell them it can't wait.

In the meantime, I would edit online checkin to show the absolute latest checkin time possible (something like 5am the calendar day after the start date), and keep trying.

I have had luck NOT mentioning a reservation number during the phone process, then once you get someone on the line tell them what you need (to let them know you WILL be there but will be delayed, and to hold the room) and THEN mention the actual reservation. Something like that isn't a revenue-based thing and really shouldn't be under the control of the TA, so if you start off with a clean slate (no reservation for them to see) and with exactly what you need, you'll have a better chance at a meaningful conversation with the CM than if you start with reservation info.

And just keep in touch. They know that people are traveling. They know delays happen. Flight delays, train delays, car accidents, etc. Keeping in touch with them is KEY.

Keep trying to get your TA. Everyone is right they won't just hold it. And if it's under 5 days out you may have a penalty to change it to less days. You also may lose the discount. If there is any way for anyone in your party to get there on time that would be what I suggest trying. 2 discounted nights you don't need vs. 8 rack rate nights you'll probably be better off if it can be managed.

I echo the others. Get that TA to call and try to make a change for you.

Perhaps she can alter the days. Sometimes if there is that slot available under your discount you can make a change.

Sounds like you are willing to keep the entire reservation - not take the two days off. Is that right?

That's terrible. Not asking for the TA's name but is this a reputable TA? One that is well known?
