Will I like WL?

I'm stressing over our resort choice for our upcoming trip! I'm afraid the rooms at WL are going to seem too small and cramped. Our last two trips we have stayed at a 1-bedroom at OKW. Before that CR & Poly. Very first trip was at CBR - we like that resort, but we gotta have at least queen size beds. My dd's thought the bunk beds at WL sounded nice. Is transportation going to be a pain? We will have a car and will drive to the parks most of the time, but how is transportation to MK?

Thanks! :confused3 :confused3

Well, I think if you walk into any resort with the idea that you are not going to like it, then you probably won't......

We had a wonderful stay at WL. The rooms are on the smallest side, but they are nicely set up. You have plenty of drawer and closet space. You can either have 2 queens, or a queen + bunkbed. The resort is not to large, so you're never more than a few minutes walk from anything. The pools are wonderful. We also had wonderful transportation. We preferred it over both of our CR stays. (Why do you think it's going to be bad?) We especially like the little blue boats that took us to CR & FW. It made it so easy to resturant "hop".

Check out the first couple of pages on the WL faq, part 4 thread. You'll find out everything you need to know abt the lodge.

The boat service to and from the MK is perfectly fine. I believe you will enjoy the ride.

We arent particularly big into WL's theme, but its still awesome! We stayed there after staying at OKW in a 1bdrm, and we were fine. We did spend alot less time in the room on that trip, which is probably why the lack of space didnt bother us too much.

Stop stressing and start enjoying the countdown!

I enjoyed the WL theme, it is great. The pool was fun for the kids. I liked the gift shop in the resort and the availability to get quick snacks/meals at the snackbar. It was very convienent.

I will not stay there again. I did not enjoy the transportation options at WL! We seemed to have to wait for the boat to MK everytime! (15-20 min) We took the small boat to CR once and walked to MK from there. I don't like having to rely on buses to get to the parks, I have gotten spoiled staying at EPCOT resorts. We usually have a car and drive to AK. I am not patient when it comes to the transportation, I openly admit that!!! It is not Disney's fault, just have my own issues.

The rooms are on the smallish side, we had 3 adults and an 11 yr old, it was cramped. We did not have the bunk beds but 2 of the double beds. I don't think they were queens but they could have been.

I am a total fan of the EPCOT resorts!! Alot of times we will work a meal into our MK day. We make a PS at a GF or CR or Poly restaurant around the time we are going to MK and park at that resort--after our meal, we just hop on the monorail and go to MK. Then grab our car when we leave MK! They were very strict when we were there in January about parking at the MK resorts and checked my ID with the PS lists. One Security Guard even called in when my name was not on the list bcs I had made the PS that day. Also, at GF you have to park in valet and pay the $6. Alot of people might do this, I don't really know?

Have fun, it is a tough decision--I know!! Everyone is certainly different with regards to what they like.
