Obviously you won't know if I would like bubble tea or not. However, I am interested in getting some in EPCOT and want to know if other people care for it. I have been reading descriptions and definitions of the tea on other sites but they are so vague I still really have no idea what it is except tea with tapioca balls at the bottom. So does anyone like it, not like it, have a distant relations who tried it 20 years ago?

I love it! I always get coconut flavor when flavors are offered. (Some places you can choose to add a flavor to the tea, others you can't.) I'd say it tastes like very sweet tea with a good amount of milk in it over ice. (If you drink hot tea with milk and sugar, and sometimes let it sit til it gets lukewarm and then have a sip that gives a good idea of what it tastes like.) The tapioca balls that I've had are very large--about the size of a marble probably, much bigger than the tapioca in pudding. They're very chewy and squishy and I guess some people don't like the texture of them. I like them just fine.

Good luck!

I love the avocado and mango flavors!!!! Talk about good. Just try them and see what you think. :cloud9:

They have it here in nyc in chinatown...I love it! Whwn I first tried it I was skeptical because of the chewy tapioca but after the initial "this is weird" it is just yummy. I never had the one in wdw b ut now I am going to look for it. I am assuming it is in the China pavilion?

BLECH!! I have issues with the tapioca "bubbles"- the texture just gives me the heebie-jeebies. I am also not a sweet tea drinker.

If you like really sweet tea and big balls of tapioca, you'll probably like it. Me, not so much...:crazy2:

I've never had it at WDW, but YUCK! I love tapioca pudding, but this is more like having big balls of snot in your tea. I'm not overly fond of really sweet tea, either, and the one that I had was very sweet. Dd felt the same way that I did. We are glad that we tried it once, but we don't have any desire to try it again. Actually, any mention of bubble tea usually brings us to giggles.

That's what I wanted to say those tapioca balls reminded me of, Beth, but I couldn't bring myself to type it out :rotfl: :rotfl: - you were brave to mention it. That's EXACTLY what they remind me of- eeeeeew!!!

I actually erased and re-typed it three times. I don't usually say things like that, but I couldn't think of any other way to word it and still get my point across. :rotfl:

The texture of the tapioca reminds me of gummy bears (w/o the flavour).
I liked it, but I got tired of chewing my tea.

OMGoodness, those little tapioca bubbles skeeve me out too. All I can think of are slugs. Sort of like eating blueberries reminds me of what it could be like to eat a bug. :scared: :crazy2:

Y'all, stop it!!:rotfl: :rotfl: Between you and Beth, I'm getting all grossed out. Maybe they should call it slug 'n snot tea!!:rotfl:

Isn't the correct name of the tea Boba Milk tea?

At least that is whatthey are called her in California. And they do tatse....odd. I think it is an aquired taste.

i've tried bubble tea - have a problem with those "pearls" at the bottom on the glass (flashback to being forced to eat brussels sprouts as a child and them getting stuck in my throat) - nope - no bubble tea for me...

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: You really did make your point! I started out thinking. "Wow, i think I will have to try this." Read on to your post. Note to self: Remember Beth's description, go to Mexico and get a margarita :thumbsup2

you can get the bubbletea without the bubbles in the bottom....they remind me of gummy bears....ick
